Seems odd that Ford, Toyota and Honda are within 2% of each other on the chart

I don’t personally care for Consumer Reports, I think they’re biased sometimes, but to each their own 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, it seems many fall within that 65-70% 2/3 range. Hard to be above that. But the bottom well below that weren’t particularly surprising to me.

Chevrolet 11th and GMC 16th aren't they pretty much the same as Chevrolet?
They are the same trucks just with different trim, built on the same assembly line, or at least they used to be.

I can see why Rivian is the top of the heap. When they start producing the R2 it is the only vehicle in line to replace my BS as it ages out.

Not surprised at all with these recent ratings. With all the internet reports of buyers reporting their dissatisfaction, its time manufacturers step up their game with quality control.

CR relies a lot on reviews. They only have a few hundred employees.

“6 million members fight with their voices”. in a few months their opinions will reverse.

I think they are more effective with testing baby strollers, appliances and cookware

I would never pay that much for a car.
You check out the prices of a new Fords lately? You can option up a Mustang GT to mid 60s now. '25 Badlands now starts at 41k before adding options and you get a 12 hp drop in power with the new bloated price. I see cloth interior F150s in the 60k range on dealer lots. Across the board new vehicle prices up up up....

Hugely. & I’m not sure where it ends as people seem to keep buying. I forget exactly what I paid, but if I read my policy right, my insurance values my BL at just over $42K here for new replacement value. That’s about what I paid I’m sure, maybe $44K with a few bits & pieces for mats & such that I might’ve paid cash on at the parts counter. I just did B&P for a ‘24 (I don’t see the 25 B&P here yet) & it starts at $45K For a BL. Which doesn’t seem too bad. But. That same car with what I have on it is about $52K. Ouch.

But I’ve been considering upmarket so checked out a Toyota Land Cruiser this week. Wow is it ever nice! $88K… 😲😳😬. I guess it should be nice! Fully twice what my BSBL cost. & they can’t keep them on the lot. I thought we were approaching the time where a normal car could cost what I borrowed to buy my first house, apparently we’re coming closer to that time quicker than I might’ve thought.

Inflation at work. Decent cars/trucks are now 3 to 4 times what I paid for my 1st house in SoCal, no less, and I got a no down VA loan! Then the pols tell us how they’re going to make our lives better - lmfao . . .
