I have the Falken 245/65/17 Rubritrek tires on my Badlands. It's been 26k miles without any issue's.
Interesting, the Falken A/T4W looks to have the same tread pattern as the Rubritrek with different sidewalls than either the Rubritrek or A/T3W.
Besides seeing the A/T4W on the Falken site I've seen videos of the Tesla Cyber Truck with the Falken A/T4W tires installed.
They should be available sometime in the 1st quarter.

Lots of info out there on them.

Per Falken - AT3 are/will be discontinued.

Also…separate
The overall tread design is similar, but the rubber compound is new, the sidewalls are now 3-ply, and there were some changes made to increase towing performance.

The actual stock of these for the general public will be available by February.

Here’s a better look

@Dude the Falken Wildpeak A/T4W is an improvement from its predecessor, although it is 7lbs heavier, it is a more durable tire for off road and its UTQGL has improved from 600AB to 660AA. It's newer technologies equate to better snow traction and longer life.
@Discount Tire Thank you for your comments, very helpful!

One question… did you mean 600BA for the Falken Wildpeak AT3w OEM (Bronco Sport optional tire) OEM part# 59000690 (for Ford)
Tire size 235/65R17? Here is a pic of that tire showing 600BA.

Wasn't one of the best features of the AT3W the lower weight?
Yes BUT IF the new AT4 matches the characteristics of MT, Nitto, Toyo and BFG, but still keeps Falken’ess then a few extra pounds will be ok; esp when still lower than MT.

I like the idea of a little heavier tire. I better start putting more miles on my Sport before they come out with the AT5.

Yes, hence my skepticism earlier.

If I understand the tires right, the OEM Falkens weigh less than the real AT3W and the new AT4W because there are less sidewall plys in the build. (4 vs. 8??) Coupled with the 4W tire being slightly narrower than the 3W and I think the softer sidewall 3W might deflect more when aired down, so for my uses, the 3W pencils out to be a better tire. Good on-road and lighter=mileage increase. For the occasional offroad (beach sand for me), the width and deflection is the most helpful thing for me. The 4W is obviously a "superior" overall tire, which I immediately take to mean more Dinero per tire. The more aggressive sidewall tread might make up for the other factors. No real way to test that. Even if all performance is equal in all surface conditions, the tire cost and mpg hit needs to make up the higher price. Will it? Let me get my 8-ball a shakin'.

It may be "superior" in some areas, but not all. We'll have to wait for reviews before making judgements about road manners, but a heavier tire will negatively impact vehicle performance in specific areas, i.e. ride quality, acceleration, fuel economy, etc.

Agree, and those are characteristics that all of us share and use. The Falken website rates the 4W the same or higher in every category on their own subjective 0-5 scale. By the time real world reviews come out, the OEM 3W will be history. Or will it? Will the OEM still be produced and just the standard line 3W will get superseded? Betting they upgrade the whole line and Ford switches to something else after using up stock. I'm halfway thinking about stockpiling a spare set myself. But I have 25,000 miles now and still 1/4" of tread on the factory set. At this rate, they'll be on the car another 2 years! That's a lot of bulk and time to have them stacked in the yard.

Not to mention tires start to dry rot in around 5 years or so. I really like the AT3/W, but I think there are other options that will fit the bill when the time comes.

I wonder what Ford is going to start using for the optional AT tires now, something tells me they're not going to use the new AT4W with that added weight.

Probably Ford will get an OEM variant of the new AT4W 23565R17 weighing in at 31lbs lol

But what about wet traction? Would it be better?
