Even after the BS is sitting for a while with the hood open., when you close the hood, you hear a couple of electric component noise clicking. Very weird.

I wonder if the BS goes into sleep mode after 14 days when a battery maintainer keeps the battery fully charged. I guess I'll find out sooner or later because my BS sits a lot.If you wait long enough (14 days) the Sport will go into Deep Sleep Mode and all of those sounds will go away as it will shut off all electrical function. Apparently, absent that, it is never really "off" completely. It can also go into Deep Sleep Mode if it gets too cold outside or the battery voltage gets too low. No way I know of to turn it off or on manually (unless there is a way in Forscan).
I’m guessing that the “dongle” is the key fob? If so, that is weird. I’ve not worked under the hood that much yet. I do know that I’m not fond of my key fob constantly unlocking/ locking the doors. I always leave wondering whether or not the vehicle is actually locked.Yeah I noticed the same sort of thing when I was installing, then uninstalling some vinyl letters on the grille. Even without the dongle with me, just messing around in the area of the vehicle, every so often there'd be little electrical sounds, like I triggered some sensors somewhere.
Ford might need to release a software update one of thee days to allow for a "battery saver" mode, where it's not constantly aware of, and reacting to, everything all the time.
Most likely sleep mode is activated by voltage below a certain threshold -- so a maintainer would prevent that from happening.I wonder if the BS goes into sleep mode after 14 days when a battery maintainer keeps the battery fully charged. You mean like a scraping sound?I'm more interested in that weird, slight mechanical sound that happens a split second before the vehicle turns over. Doesn't quite sound like a fuel pump priming
Man, I can't even begin to describe it. Scraping might be accurate, but it also has a slight deeper tone that almost sounds like an air tank being pressurized. It's a very peculiar sound, but I have seen a few other comments about it in prior threads. If I start it after it has sat for a while and keep the door open, I can usually hear it pretty well. You mean like a scraping sound?
Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.Even after the BS is sitting for a while with the hood open., when you close the hood, you hear a couple of electric component noise clicking. Very weird.
