I managed to get the 2.0 engine cover in, no instructions came with on how to install but it looks like a simple pop on and secured by a single nut or something. However the cover didn't come with the nut/bolt. I go to see if it's already on the engine, and it's not. Did my dealer just drop the ball and forget to order the bolt too?

Yup. Three parts that are needed.

cover
Stud
Nut
Thanks for the speedy reply! Looks like I'll be going by the dealer tomorrow to order those parts. Hopefully those two parts arn't 40 bucks a piece either. 😅

Considering the cover is like 90 bucks and its pre molded foam.

A little off topic but I have a question. Would this engine cover fit a '20 Ford Ecosport Titanium. It's a 2.0, but not turbo charged.

I would google OEM Ford Parts and look at buying online. Also a lot of dealers will match online prices which tend to be 30 percent or more lower then dealer price. Dealers make like 100 percent profit off of parts.

Mine is missing also, called the dealership and the Service manager told me that Ford stop adding them in May 2022. He said you can call the Ford Customer Service (1-888-392-3673) and act mad and they may put you on a list and send you the part at some later date.

Unlikely as that would most likely be a different design, for the turbo of the 2.0 engine and the studs are screwed in and various clips clip into various spots in very specific spots to keep the cover in place.

Ford Bronco Sport Engine Cover for the 2.0 Question 1669238983496

it is getting hard to find a Ford part (K2GZ6A949A) so I got a Lincoln version (K2GZ6A949B).

I can feel the luxury power upgrade already

I also left out the stud bolt and only got the snap on stud (AA5Z-6N958-A). so it is there is no bolt on the upper left hole at this time. my local dealer is telling me that bolt is in nationwide shortage. I can't believe that little bolt will retail $20. I can find one online to order for $10 but shipping they charge $10+!! I may just Homedepot a threaded bolt and nut for substitute.

Another thing I was surprised it is not a "plastic" cover. I've had cars with a hard plastic cover. This is like a foam type material probably designed better for sound/heat insulations.

They stopped shipping the engine cover in 2021. But, some have gotten the passenger insulation panel replaced and that stopped early 2022.

Chipmunks love engine covers!!!🐿🐿🐿 This is what I found when I removed my engine cover during the latest oil change. There was even some cloth tape that was laying in there that looked to be chewed off part of a harness.
