Engine Block Heater Location?

It just dawned on me that I forgot to verify that my engine block heater was installed when I picked up my Sport a few days ago. So, I went looking for the plug today. I can't find it.

Can anyone who also sprung for the engine block heater let me know where it's located so I can go find mine? If trim matters, I have a Badlands.

Never mind...I found it. I was thrown off by the end cap.

Has anyone figured out a way to route the plug to the outside of the vehicle? I don't want to open my hood every time I plug or unplug the block heater.

no good location springs to mind but use an exterior rated extension cord.

I added a batter blanket to mine, because well.... -45 celsius isn't really good for them.... anyway I ran a small extension cord down and out the tow recovery hooks on mine...

I too would like to know. The advice I got from my dealership was “I don’t know, I have never plugged one in before”. -25 here today, and will have to have hood open to be able to plug in. Grrrr

OP's pic indicates receptacle very close to hood bumper
strapped to inside corner of radiator bracket
mentioned had cover on receptacle
