What are ditch lights for and why would I want them? (Besides looking awesome)

They are meant to flood areas around the vehicle where traditional lighting doesn't reach. Mostly to the side.

Love the Harry and the Henderson's pic

strong side lights to keep an eye on the side of the road. Usually set a 45 degrees

1. Actual ditches or edges when not on formal roads at night
2 keeping an eye out for deer “eye shine;” coming from the sides before they give you a really bad day
3. lights up poorly displayed signage, road sign or turn off (particularly in state parks).

Super helpful on questionable roads... especially when making turns.... i use to have a trooper that when you put on a blinker a small spot light would turn on the same direction... i loved it
