Picked up a badlands last weekend and it has the Pirelli Scorpions on. Looking to upgrade to more grippy tires. I am looking at cooper discoverer at3 4 S vs Falken Wildpeak ATs. Any reason to pick one over the other? The discoverer is well rated on tirerack, but not much info on the wildpeak. Looking for a tire that will balance both road and offroad.

I've got Yokohama Geolander AT's on my 04 Escape, they replaced all weather smooth tread tires.
No loss in mpg,
No more road noise,
No negative effects in road handling,
Tracking is fine at hiway speeds,
Very good in snow.
Great AT tire performance where I needed it, on loose steep gravel and dirt roads.
These will be going on my Bronco Sport.

The Falken AT/3Ws are worth a look too.

In my opinion both great tires, but I would compare the wild peak at3’s as well. They are more expensive than the at’s by maybe $40 a tire, but worth it. I had the discoverer at3’s on a dodge Dakota and they were good in all weather conditions. I did prefer the wildpeak at3’s on my ‘03 Ford Escape in the snow. The discoverers handled well in the snow, the wild peaks just had more grip in my opinion.

If I thought that I could sneak it past my wife I would swap my Falken A/Ts for A/T3Ws.
