I'm a retired dealer service manager. They cannot say a lift or other mods caused the problem. The manufacturer would have to test every scenario to be able to prove it was caused by a mod. Easier for them to pay the claim.
Yeah they came back over the weekend and said they would get it done under warranty

Great news, hopefully they'll be able turn your ride around fairly quickly.

The Ford standard warranty and the Ford extended warranty that some of us bought, suck and I promise Ford, I'm not sure they're reading this or care, that I'm never going to purchase another Ford vehicle again.
You'll find throughout these Forum pages, lots of folks at these same kind of warranty and dealer support issues. Forget the reviews of the car and the plummeting value of it, Ford treated the sale of these vehicles as a long-running hit and run. Great looking car, great concept, shitty execution.

Twice, I brought it in for minor warranty service whether it was the roof gasket that was coming out and swinging in the wind at around 20,000 miles or the tailpipe that was rattling around at 15,000 miles, they wanted money to fix it. Passenger door speaker that rattled like a blown speaker cone from Week 1, 'not covered'.
I don't understand how these things that I didn't build are uncovered by the warranty, two warranties really, but I don't hold out a lot of Hope for the extended warranty I purchased either.
I don't know whether this is a dealer trick/procedure or Ford really sucks as bad as I think they do, and I do, but I can do a lot of things with money and there are a lot of choices for vehicles.
Seriously FK Ford. Good luck to the OP and my words of advice just have to be- expect nothing from them because that's what you're going to get.

Sounds like you should go find a different dealership. Those are all covered under bumper to bumper warranty.
