Coolant leak

Sport has 12,500 miles,started smelling coolant leak.Dealer couldn't find a coolant leak but said the a/c compressor had a leak and the green looking fluid was a/c dye.Replaced the compressor but still smelling coolant leak.Inspeced it today looks to be the water pump leaking.Back to the dealer tomorrow.

Water pump on order,been ten days now still waiting.Hope it's not on a cargo ship!

My sport is overheating with $16,500 miles. Dealership told me 2-3 weeks for a replacement water pump.

Update one month and five days,new pump installed.Hope this one last a long time!

Losing coolant and no heat. 2021 Big Bend. Dealer can’t see it until Nov. 22.
34,500 on the odometer. If I get close to 36,000 then I need to stop driving it per dealer. What bs. At least there is another car available in my driveway. Loaner,
I did buy a gallon of premix from said dealer and added. Temp gauge showed as it always shows right in the middle of the gauge. That is something I don’t like either. If coolant is low, how can temp be normal?
And their cancellation list is no guarantee to get in any earlier.

About a month ago they set me up for a new water pump.
Took two days for it to arrive, was installed two days later and that was that.

I hope it’s not the head gasket. Oil looks ok and exhaust smells like exhaust. No coolant odor that I can discern. Putting coolant in solved no heat issue.

H2O pumps were $22 for the 1.5L

Odd, my water pump slowly leaked about a half pint a month.
Dealer topped off my antifreeze and ordered the pump.
It arrive three days later, I first reported it arrived two days later. I was wrong.
2,000 miles now and no more leak.
I’m at 28,800
Bought this BS in Dec 2020

My dealer said buy a gallon of the proper coolant and keep an eye on it. Tentative scheduled for December 27. Ridiculous way to do business.
The more I think about it’s definitely my last Ford.

Dealer won't top off coolant for free? Might wanna look at dealer online reviews see if you can find another dealer.

Yeah it’s not Ford that takes a month to get a part all the time.
Sounds like in your case your dealer won’t pay the up charges to get things shipped one day air.
These 3 bangers have been around longer than the first BS built in 2020.
