You're absolutely right, I have way too much time on my hands (retired), since I lost my sweetheart 3 years ago to cancer, this vehicle has become my new sweetheart for the time being.

Do you have a picture of your light controls for all that? What are you using? Is it like a hub to turn on different zones it do you have separate rocker switches for each ? Looks really cool

Two switches control all the off road lights, one controls the lights on the vehicle itself, the other controls the lights on the cargo basket. The switch for the cargo basket resides in the engine compartment for the moment, until my body is ready to contort like a pretzel again installing it in the cab, the battery has to come out in order to get access to the grommet on the fire wall. That battery is not easy to remove, it will fight you all the way. A ready made wiring harnesses will greatly simplify installation. Looking at a bank of rocker switches on line, that would be cool for finishing the project. Had to take a deep breath before drilling a hole in my brand new vehicle lower dash.

How did you route wires to the lights?
You have to remove the black trimming on the A pillar I believe they call it. carefully rout the wire harness up the pillar, there is plenty of space under the roof rail trimming to hide the wire under.

Thanks. After removing the two screws and the cover, there are three white push retainers holding the black trim in place, you can see them, and they pop straight out. Once the first retainer is popped, the rest will follow easily. A plastic tool for this purpose will help and yes these panels and trim pieces can be stubborn and pop with a heart stopping loud crack. Carefully route the wire away from the hood hinge which is nearby. Good luck.

Geelloo90042 picked my curiosity when he mentioned gang switches, which I have not thought of, found this on Amazon. It can only fit in the area below the headlights switch panel. This is one of those projects that will require self isolation to mentally prepare to cut a big square hole in my lower dash.

Two switches control all the off road lights, one controls the lights on the vehicle itself, the other controls the lights on the cargo basket. The switch for the cargo basket resides in the engine compartment for the moment, until my body is ready to contort like a pretzel again installing it in the cab, the battery has to come out in order to to get access to the grommet on the fire wall. That battery is not easy to remove, it will fight you all the way. A ready made wiring harnesses will greatly simplify installation. Next will be a gang rocker switch panel for future projects. I Took a deep breath before drilling a hole in my brand new vehicle lower dash.

WOW - thank you for the detailed install information -- it looks great. QUESTION: Do you get any glare or hood reflection in your windshield from the roof lights? I've experienced that on my truck which is outfitted with a roof mounted light bar. THANKS!

I haven't had the chance to test them off road, but in my driveway, I haven't noticed any glare on the hood.

Okay I'm about to ask a really dumb question as someone who's new to HID and additional lighting, how much more do they illuminate compared to the normal headlights fog lights etc? Higher up on the road or brighter overall etc?
