Canadian cars being sold in USA. Warrantee?

As I search for an available car, I've twice now noticed BS's that were originally owned in Quebec for sale in NH and VT. One listed had the original Monroney which stated "this vehicle for sale in Canada only."

Anyone know how this effects the warrantee?

Is that even legal? I thought that cars imported from Canada still had to follow the 25 year rule just like cars from anywhere else outside the US.

Forgot about the 25 year rule. I know someone who's brother bought a pickup over the border near where they have a camp. There was some concern on her part about warrantee at the time, but I couldn't remember the details.

Just did some checking on 'ol Dr. Google. Seems the Canadian VINs might be hard to register in the US as state systems might not recognize them. Could be issues with similar, but different environmental controls as well. Doesn't seem like a good think for the unaware shopper.

FYI: Dealer is Nucar. Both were purchased by them at auction in MA.

Just a cautionary thought, my son bought a late model 2500 GMC pickup from a contractor a few years ago and traded it last year. He got absolutely hammered on the trade because the vin check showed it to be a Canadian car. Reminded me of the 80s when a lot of used Mercedes were brought in from Europe and traded at significantly lower prices even though DOT retrofitted at the entry port.
Risks of so called “gray” market cars may show up long after initial purchase….

I hadn't even thought about trade in value. It's worth being extra careful where you buy, and makes that VIN and matching Carfax or equivalent worth it. The vehicle with the CDN Monroney had had 3 previous owners and was a '22. I don't know what constitutes an "owner" though. Dealerships, or private use or? Yeesh!
