Hay sport buddies, thinking about bug guard or deflector, question is , would it be to much with brush guard all ready on car.

I have the OEM. It doesn’t quite line up on each end. I have also noticed that the hood near the windshield seems to “move” now while driving.
My friend who is a body shop expert said he has seen bug deflectors cause that. I am guessing the metal is also a bit thin.

Either Aero Skin II or Xpel PPF. Understand this is an aluminum hood, once a stone chip occurs the corrosion will begin. The corrosion will work its way under the primer and touch up paint will not stop it, the hood will need a repaint and fenders blended to match.

When I installed my Aeroskin II several members here provided some great info that reduced hood shake considerably even at 80mph. I added the Ford hood rubber molding on the R & L side of the underside of the hood and inserted a section of rubber brake line inside the rear rubber molding that runs parallel to the windshield back by the wipers.

Do you have part numbers or any more information that would help me find this?
Is this an easy install? I am 73 and not in the best health.

Easy enough for this 75 year old to do it. The rubber R/L moldings just snap into pre-drilled holes and the rubber brake line just slides into the rear hood rubber molding. Check under your hood you may already have the R/L rubber moldings from the factory. I don’t recall which model years came with them from the factory.

Thanks. Are they very large and what do they look like? how will I know I have found them?
see attached photo, I actually bought an extra set for my 2022 Badlands. The grey fasteners on the molding snap into the underside of the hood on driver and passenger sides. Not sure if the part number works on your vehicle double check with parts at your dealership.

I went with the aero skin as well and a 2000 mile trip to Florida right after installing, the hood flutter drove me nutz, I didn’t have it before the install. However I barely got a bug on the windshield and that was a HUGE improvement over not having the bug guard.
so upon my return home I started hunting solutions to the hood flutter and did the fuel hose in the rear seal, adjusted the front hood supports, added the hood shock lifts and that made a noticeable improvement but still some flutter was happening I came across the left and right side hood weatherstripping idea and looked and of course my new Bronco badlands did not have them, so I ordered them and installed them and the flutter in the hoods almost no existing now.. I can’t believe Ford is so lame that they’ve taken away and taken away and taking away stuff off our vehicles and still selling them for more money they were not needed. They should’ve never been on any of them in the first place so obviously they are needed and they should’ve never been removed just to save Ford a few bucks. Here’s the part numbers for left and right side I got my at Tasca parts online

can I bother you to get the dimensions of your hood adjusters? My hood flutter was awful, I messed with all four a little bit and tried matching to my lady friends, it’s better but still worse than hers is. I’m not sure if I have to adjust them in or out from here. I don’t recall which direction I had them before matching hers. 🤦🏻‍♂️
