How accurate are you finding your Bronco Sport’s tire pressure monitoring system, compared to a good hand held meter?

I use a digital pressure gauge and the BS reports within 1 psi.

I don’t know if you meant to imply, or if you believe, a digital tire gauge is empirically more accurate than a mechanical gauge but either style can be more or less accurate. Essentially, cheap junk can be either mechanical or electrical or both. Not to say that your gauge is junk, just that they are out there in all forms.

There's only one way to be sure it's dead-on, balls accurate.

Simple.....................

Digital or Mechanical......

Bronco Sports reporting air pressure display is pretty accurate.

I've found the BS's tire pressure readings to be extremely accurate when checking them cold. I air-down/air-up quite a bit when driving off-road and know that after airing-up for the last time at the end of a day I'll have to recheck the tires in the morning cold. They will inevitably be 2-4 degrees lower than what they read after being put through their paces in the blazing hot sun. Even just sitting in my driveway the pressure in the tires facing the sun will rise 1-2 degrees by early afternoon before dropping back to normal once the sun goes down.

We just did 5000+ miles and I found it to be within 1 + or- PSI when cold.

I keep my tires at 10% below max PSI. That allows for increases once the tire gets warm running on highways. I have found that this also provides longer wear mileage. If I lived where the snow flies, I'd drop normal operating pressure to 20% below max. for traction in the snow.

Plus or minus one psi means a two psi spread,
Not good enough.
Ford said not to use the tire monitoring system as a tire pressure gage so I do not.
