I am embarrassed to admit that I ripped the antenna out of the roof of my 2024 Bronco Sport backing out of my garage and it got caught on the door because the door wasn’t open enough to pass through ☹. We bought the identical antenna to replace it but can’t quite figure out how to drop the headliner so we can secure it from underneath the roof.
Anyone have any tips, tricks or videos they can share? We already fixed the dent it created just not sure if we have to drop the entire headliner.
All advice is welcome and appreciated!

According to the workshop manual, dropping the headliner is needed. You also need to remove the A, B and C pillar trim covers to drop the headliner. All relevant info is attached.

WOW….this is awesome info and exactly what we need. I can’t thank you enough!
Almost as good as the Miata community 30-35 years ago.
i will have to go find the Miata community then, I also have a 2020 Special Edition with 10,000 miles on it 🙂

This happened to my son too. His was not ripped off but it damaged the roof and holding bracket pretty good. Did a comp claim. Ended up costing 2k. He paid a 500 deductible. Now we both have little stubby antennas.

I’ll have to look into the short antenna…currently I’m relying on carplay 😕

Great stuff. I replaced the standard antenna with a stubby one. Use Bluetooth most of the time regardless.
Which antenna did you end up using for the replacement?

I can vouch that this "Stubby" antenna works perfectly as well. Replaced mine one week after I purchased ours. My Father still has the OEM one on his Beonco Sport and on our trip to Moab Bronco Off-Roadeo from Idaho we both received and lost the radio stations at the same point. You loose zero performance with the "Stubby" installed.

Hello Javier, by any chance do you have the procedure to install the Trailer Module? Thanks in Advance.

Yea, I can get it, but if your vehicle did not bring a TRM and you want to install it, it will require programming, as well. I am sure it can be done with FORScan, but I am not familiar with the procedure. Message me and we can talk about it so that we don't hi-jack this thread.

The Maverick and the Bronco Sport are almost identical in module architecture. Assuming your BS does not already have a TRM, read through this thread to see if this is something you feel comfortable doing and want to pursue.

Edit: Actually, that thread is to add a trailer brake controller.....not a TRM. Not sure how helpful it will be.
