As much as I like both, I prefer the Bronco Sport. Much nicer to drive and maneuver around town, better fuel economy, and just as cool-looking. The full-size are also lookers but just too excessive and for those who don't use them for what they're built for, what's the point? That's why I would never want one. Why would I want a vehicle built for serious off-roading and use it as an on-road daily driver? It would be a crime against humanity. Sure you could off-road the Bronco Sport as well but it's a city-dwelling commuter first. It's based off the Ford Escape which is a common commuter crossover. That's what makes it more appealing. Except with the Bronco Sport you get the cool retro styling as oppose to the blobby, forgettable styling of the Escape it's based on. The '23 refresh definitely fixes that bland styling however.

Crime against humanity because and off roader is also a daily driver???? It is a great combo. Just because they use it as a dd does in no way mean it does not also go rough off roading on the weekends. I dont know anyone that buys their offroader and leave it sitting in the driveway until they go off-roading. Just like all the Jeeps. I see a ton going back to work every day still mucked and dirty from a weekend of fun!

I still think the full size Bronco is awesome and bad a**. My friend at work has it as a daily driver and he says it is great. They have driven it long distance and off road all of which perform. Took 2 years to get it from order to delivery. I did not want to wait that long. It is the deep blue and gorgeous inside and out.

My wife and I have two vehicles, both of which are daily drivers. One is our Gladiator. It is a great DD and we also take that off road and it can tow up to 8000 as well as go topless. To call it a crime against humanity because a dd is also an off-roader makes no sense.

The only reason I bring this up is because most full-size Broncos that I see driving around are immaculate and are purely driven as pavement princesses defeating the whole purpose of buying such a capable vehicle and not using it to its potential. And they're not clean because they wanted to wash the mud off from weekend off-roading, it's solely because some buy it as a status symbol and never get it dirty. That's why my opinion is skeptical.

Come on posters admit it. If you could afford it and the Gas you’d have the big boy toy. And if you could you’d have both. Everybody wants Jay Leno’s garage.
Your like most of us. Ya just didn’t become a big money earner and Mama San would have you castrated if you spent $65,000 on a toy and she didn’t yet have a house bigger than her sisters place……
Oh the, ‘Horror’ of it all.

Oh yeah, 100%. My boyfriend and I have talked about how nice it would be to have both. I've got a lot of respect for the Sport and the full size Bronco. Just can't afford it on my government salary, and that's okay. I'm thrilled with my Sport and thankful to be driving such a beautiful rig.

My plan is to have both. While they cross over to a certain extent, they serve two different markets. My original plan was the full size only serving DD and weekend off road adventures. Because of Ford changing the allocation rules after the first year, it became clear I wouldn’t be seeing the full size for several years so I bought the Badlands Sport as a gap vehicle as the old Escape was rusting apart. Now that I’ve owned the Sport for 7 months, it’s definitely a keeper as a daily driver and I’ll reserve the full size for the more vigorous off road adventures.

The second time this week this “big daddy” parked next to my BS Badlands. They must have a fifth sense to find each other.

The Bronco is probably a Sasquatch, much bigger tires and lifted. Just to give some perspective the length of the BS is 172.7, the 2dr Bronco is 173.7 and the 4dr is 189.4. Overall width for the BS is 82.2 with mirrors and 74.3 without. Bronco is 75.9 with mirrors folded, 84.2 with mirrors.

The 2dr compares pretty well with the BS, I know because we have one of each and they both take up about the same amount of garage space. It's really the height that is the big difference, especially the SAS or Bronco with big tires and or a lift.

Really apples and oranges, one is a truck and the other is a SUV. Like comparing a Escape to a Ranger.

Thank you for putting things in prospective. I was in the process of doing the same comparison for anyone who though that it is a Photoshop effect. One more, very apparent difference between the cars: The height of the driver seat is at my butt level (I am 6 Ft tall) when I am standing next to it, while I would have to climb to my seat on the Sasquatch – not for me!
Adding another photo with bad, night lighting but better details
