Blackstone Oil Report - Bronco Sport 2.0 L engine and factory oil at 4200 miles

Just wanted to share this Blackstone Oil Report in case anyone is curious. I've never done this with any of my previous cars, so this technical data is new for me.

Comments from those with some knowledge/experience is always welcome.

That was my understanding. My next report will be using different oil as I switched to Mobil 1.

Running the Ford factory recommended oil @ 5,000 mile intervals. IMHO it’s the best for the turbo and wet belt in my 1.5L

The way I'm racking up the mile (NOT) I'll probably just change the oil at the one year mark. 900 miles since April.

I've had mine just over a month now, everything seems to work great...... I checked the oil today and it looks good, but it smells like gas. Is that normal for these engines?

Yeah,
About 5,000 miles my mpg’s started getting better.
Now passing 10,000 miles and my engine is feeling stronger.
That ‘gas’ odor is perfectly normal, you’ve got a good nose as most can’t smell it. The crankcase venting system and valve guides pass a bit during the intake stroke as the valves are lubed from the top down.
Your oil additive package keeps things cleaned up until it’s used up. The oil additives are most likely depleted at or about 9,000 miles. I change @ 5k intervals because of the ‘wet’ timing belt and turbo.
Remember, your engine is not broken in yet.
And your oil will get blacker and nasty looking long before it needs changing.

The "gas" smell and/or gas in the oil seems to be common with the newer Ecoboost engines. There is a whole thread on this on the Ranger5G.com forum. The Rangers have the 2.3L engines. I have experienced the gas smell myself on my '19 Ranger.
