Does anyone use a particular product to clean and bring the black plastic bumpers/trim up to looking new?

I've not found one that has a long lasting result. Many out there are good to restore black plastics to look good, but they require continued application.

I live in Florida where the summers and UV are brutal on black plastics. On the 2007 F-150 I drive, I ended up painting quite a bit of the black plastic trim pieces with a UV protected black spray paint, available at auto stores, and home depot. It lasts a lot longer than the once or twice applications of plastic restorers I had to do each month.

In order to get the black spray paint to adhere to the plastics, I had to use a cleaner and prep spray to remove the silicones from the restorer products that were used.

This is good to know. I have a couple of the CG products and just ordered their high foaming soap from Amazon. Will seek this out! Thanks for the info : )
You are welcome. I love their stuff. Good luck and keep us updated.

You can't go wrong with Mothers or Maguiers products.........

But some products like : Turtle wax ICE can be used as a "WAX" and can be used on plastic...even black plastic!,,,,,,(no white residue)...cause its silicone based.......one of my favorite products
