Good afternoon, fellas!

The time has come to get new tires, I’m currently running 245/65/R17s

I was just curious if anybody has tried to go bigger and ran into any issue? I’m just looking for a little more tire poke action on my wheel wells.

Has anybody tried to run 255/65/R17s?

I’m on the fence about getting wider tires or just adding spacers.

Thanks a lot!

Go with 235/70/17 Goodyear no issues on first edition and badlands, rode them for about year and half with no issues and then I just went with a beltech lift last month.

255/65R/17's are not just wider than the 245"s you currently have they are also taller which increases the chances of rubbing if you aren't already doing so.

You would probably better off with wheel spacers than changing to a larger tire.

I would rather have the added clearance than the wider tire. I'm running 235/70R17's. It gives me 1/2" more clearance, which doesn't sound like much, but on such a short wheelbase, it makes a noticeable difference.

The size/shape of the wheel arches make it very difficult to do much above the sizes we are already using. Any increase in width/height will cause rubbing at some point.
