I appreciate everyone who chimed in on this thread. Even though in my OP, I said my decision wasn't money-based....in the end, I couldn't pass this up. However, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger if it wasn't for all the people here who vouched for the Curt.

So its a done deal. Curt it is. I think I might have got the last one in inventory at Jegs, so got an extra special price on it. Spent it a little bit more to get to $200 to get a couple of things I needed. It also enabled me to get an extra $20 off and get free shipping.

I'm a big fan of both Jegs and Summit

Excited to pair it with a safe-jack extension kit, as soon as I can get it in and measure it.

What hasn't been stated so far is that if you are adding a hitch, doesn't matter who's and even if it's a FORD OEM hitch installed by the dealer you are still limited to a 1,500 pound tow capacity. Does not matter what the hitch itself is rated for either. The 2,000/2,200 tow rating is only if it came from the factory with the 53B tow package. Otherwise it's 1,500 pounds no matter what the dealer tells you. The 53B tow package includes Hitch, 4 pin wiring, anti-sway software, and most important and not listed in the sales literature, a larger transmission cooler.
