Hey team - just wanted to check. When you change the GOAT modes via the center dial to "Slippery" mode, does that automatically turn on the 4WD as well?
I swear mine did at first, but now when I rotate the dial, it changes to whatever mode I select, but won't turn on the 4WD automatically - though I can turn 4WD on myself by hitting the button fine.

Reading the owners manual it seems like it should turn it on, just wanted to check here before going to Dealer.
Thanks,

To simplify this,
On the five mode GOATS
Sand, the one to the right Is for deep soft sand and not much else.
Normal Is for all pavement stuff other than snow or ice.
Eco sucks,,,,,, not really :,P It's your 2 cylinder mode, works fine, think Grandma going to Church,
Sport is Sporty ! Betcha didn't see that one coming Ha !
Slippery is for,, I'm sorry I just can't, Your able to walk and chew gum at the same time right ?
So read the manual ok !

NOTE ! You can accelerate drive train wear and possibly cause problems playing with sand mode
If your on harder ground or Gravel. Leave Sand alone as It Is for,
Yep I'm gonna say it,
Deep Sand XXXXX

So you’re saying I should use sand mode in most on or off road conditions?

No, sand is for deep sand only, like beach or Sahara desert sand. It's very well explained in the owners manual and not that hard to find. I made sure by having the guys at my Ford dealer explain it to me.

So it seems that for trail riding with a variety of dirt, rocks, gavel and mud, normal mode with traction control off is best?

Make sure you go down to 18psi on sand or you will sink.......
