Could someone please tell me where the backup slot for my 2023 BSBL is located? I have removed the rubber mat no slot. Searched the whole console area I can’t find it. I am trying to recover my Master Access Code. The one on my card doesn’t appear to be the correct one as it states the code is incorrect when i enter it. And because I am just a boot with a head, I had my partner try it, to no avail.
Thank you in advance.

There’s no slot I’m aware of but easy to get your code if you mean the master code for the drivers side keypad?

I’ll look that up but is that the code you want? (It is also underneath the passenger side - under the panel that covers the fuse panel if the panel was even installed by Ford)

Weird, owners manual and on my Ford pass how to videos they talk of this slot?
Yes I have panel installed, as well as a hood insulator. Things are looking up!
Yes it’s the code for my door I am trying to verify the one on the card matches the vehicle.

That video provides info on how to find the master (door) code.

there’s a way to also have the factory key code for drivers side exterior door keypad displayed on the instrument cluster.

Yes there is supposed to be a slot to enter both key fobs(one at a time) to display the master door code. That is the slot I am trying to find.

Read the manual?
For my '23 at least: There is no physical slot. Take the rubber mat from the lower stack cubby, lay the keys there in some spot. It's in the manual.

I read the manual and it does say insert in slot. Page 73. Are you referring to the indentation? In my world slot and indentation are completely different.

Apologies for the snarky reply. But yes the manual's "slot" is indeed a mere indentation in the cubby floor.
I also apologize for the manual's writers. Someone in service (FCSD) writes the copy, then forwards it to the appropriate product engineer to review. Engineers may have their own jargon which may not translate well to the street. Not to mention the engineers always being in a hurry to get this task out of their work stream, not to mention that many engineers have a horrid command of communication!
I also apologize for the manual illustrators who merely take screen shots of 3D CAD models, which make for horrid low contrast images in gray scale. They have tools which could make clear B&W line art from the screen shots, but don't bother doing that. An old school pen-and-ink illustrator would take time to clearly show the issue. Low contrast screen shots are just lazy.

Well said.Much more articulated than I am capable of communicating on this forum.
And to add to my pitiful lack of reasoning, on the Ford Pass App, it has a video of how to by showing actual slots, but located in the cup holder! I am done with this day!!
