I've had my OBX for about 18 months, and I really loved it. But, It's always bothered me that when I back-up at night, the license plate lights completely flair out the back-up camera, even when the camera lens is spotlessly clean. I don't know why this took me so long to figure out, but I solved it yesterday.
When you back up, turn off your headlights. The daytime running lights stay on, so people can see your car, and the backup lights more than illuminate the rear, which is all you are really trying to see. It's a hassle, but it works. Until Ford programs sync to turn off the license plate lights when the car is in reverse, this is the best solutiuon.
