Goes into some excellent detail about how the different systems interact with the Auto Start/Stop function.

More parts, tech for something that virtually worthless.

Yep. I knew it was a mountain out of a molehill, but I think I was unaware at the depth of detail and parts needed to make this thing go.

And as we all know, and have been discussing on threads lately, our PCM apparently can't correctly account for it.

I believe most people don’t realize auto stop / start is for emissions reduction. Probably people think it’s to save gas but the savings on fuel have been shown to be pretty minimal.
Minimal on a per car basis yes, but for the auto manufacturers, it is a fleet savings to meet the ever tighter EPA requirement.

I'd like to see more restrictions on industry's manufacturing plants, but that won't happen. They line politicians pockets and employ a majority of the work force.

Someone said the methane coming from cow farts is bad too. Perhaps a catalytic converter stuck up a cows butt?

Absolutely great video. Learned quite a bit. Thank you, @gatornek for posting.
