My 2021 Badlands will be getting new tires this October and I'm thinking of the Falken Wildpeak at4w to replace my at3w original tires.
I have been very pleased with the at3w. They will have 39-40 k on them in October and are still serviceable, but I want to go into Winter with new tires.
Lots of dirt roads in all conditions of dry, mud, snow but no real serious off roading.
Looking for your experiences with the at4w so far.

I like them - I installed the 235 65R17 size.
That was in June so not many miles on them yet. Ride is good, a little more noisy than the stock Pirelli tires but I don’t worry when going off road as did with the stock tires. Pirelli 225 65R17 weigh 25.22lbs and the AT4W 235 65R17 38.2lbs (+13lbs per tire) … so is added rotational weight to consider. Your AT3W weigh 31lbs.

There are posts on this Forum with info and reviews. Here is one link but you can search for more if you want. There is a good review of the AT3W to the AT4W if haven’t seen that yet (Post #32).

@birddog2 you may also want to consider the Goodyear Territory RT All Terrain 235 65 R17 rumored to be used on the ā€˜25 Bronco Sport refresh. A few months ago I searched for the tires Technical specifications but wasn’t able to find them. Maybe are available now.

I'm on 600ish miles with 245/65 AT4W's. I upgraded from the OEM AT3W 235/65's that came with the Badlands wheel upgrade. I rode those until they were bald and loved them.

The AT4's are NOTICABLY heavier. I know I went from 235 to 245, but even so the design is flat out heavier. After 600 miles, I no longer notice it - But when they were new I was incredibly annoyed at how the car felt more sluggish. And that is with the 2.0L engine.

I've yet to do any offroading with them, but I'm sure they will be just as good if not better than the AT3's, which I did some pretty serious wheeling with successfully at 20psi.

The AT3's were phenomenal on snow. I expect the AT4's to be just as good, but won't know until winter.

Barely an increase, if any, for road noise.

Gas mileage definitely took a hit, but only a couple mpg.

Except for acceleration, city driving is the same. But I do get a "fun" level of torque steer now if I accelerate hard enough on a turn

When it was time to replace the bald AT3's, I didn't even research other options because I had such a fantastic experience with the Falkens. I think that was unwise knowing what I know now. I don't recall them being overly expensive, but perhaps other options on the market are more competitive now.

They sure are, 10.9lbs heavier per tire.

I hope they are not rock throwers like the ones on my 2 door. I wouldn’t want to drive behind me after being on a gravel road!

Had a 21 & 22 Badlands and ordered the optional 235 Falkens on both. Loved them. I think that for 2025 they have gone Goodyear from the factory.

A major improvement over the AT3s.

I have the atw3 on the BB and I loved them except for the weight. I was excited for the atw4 then I saw the added weight and turned off. I can only imagine they will be great but the extra weight was a turn off

I think I was like one of the first people to get the AT/4Ws when they released this year. Like I posted a pic of the tires and people were shocked and wanted to know more.

I'm coming from the stock ATRs so I can only compare those to them unfortunately. I live in Denver and have drive them in deep snow, rain, heavy slush, dirt, some really diabolical clay mud on a fun little camping adventure where the lead care didn't know where the hell it was going and got stuck, and the little bronquito had to pull out the Grand Cherokee.

The tires are noticeably heavy. Prior to getting them I was getting like 26mpg combined on my weekly tank of gas, after that its a very consistent 23.6 Which makes sense, the AT/4Ws are an AT and noticeably heavier.

My impressions are that they are dam solid. Corner shockingly well, better then the Pirelli's actually which I was shocked by. The braking was what I was most impressed with at first. I got rid of the ATRs because they are borderline dangerous on the snow and ice and lock up at even the suggestion of those conditions. The Falkens take a good consistent pressure before they break away on snow and ice which I can't say enough good things about. On that clay/mud they excelled. My friend got stuck, likely due to part tires on the jeep, and I was fine. My car just crawled up that stupid four wheeler path we were on. Rain is good as well and so is dirt.

I wouldn't hesistate to get them again just know there is an MPG penalty. So if you are the kind of person that worries about 1 or 2mpg on average difference, maybe not for you.

And road noise is fine. You might hear a slight buzz but you have to be looking for it and that sound quickly fades into all the other noises you experience while driving.
