According to latest sales stats the Bronco Sport is conquesting over 60 percent of its sales from outside of Ford:

Bronco Sport March 2021 and Q1 Sales Results

It's true for me, I'm switching after my third Subaru (well, we still have the second, it's my wife's WRX, but returned the third, a newer Impreza) to a Bronco Sport Badlands.

What about everyone else? What brand were you driving before getting your new Bronco Sport?

Subaru Forester. It was the "nice, safe car". Needed something when my 2001 Escape started to fail. Thank heaven the Sport came along!

Not a BS type obviously but the Mach-E is showing 70% conquest buyers.

There has been a lot of talk about how Ford marketed these two but just maybe they knew what they were doing. I'll be interested in seeing how the Maverick does.

So far the article is holding true us here with 21 out of 36, or 58%, respondents saying they switched brands. Not surprising, I think, just goes to show how iconic the Bronco is and how excited people are to see it return.

Both the Sport and MachE no big surprise -- something new and different will attract new buyers from other brands. And lots of younger buyers and women, my observation.

Lots of people coming from Subaru. Honestly, not that surprising either. The Bronco Sport is basically what a lot of us want the Forester to be.

When our BL comes in we are getting rid of our '14 CRV which has been problem free since new. But we also have a '16 F150 Platinum FX4, an '88 Mustang LX 5.0 Conv (bought new), and an '86 Mustang SVO. We have had other Fords in the past (2 Escorts, 2 Windstars, Taurus wagon, '85 Mustang).

I currently drive a ‘13 Subaru Impreza though it’s technically replacing my wife’s ‘08 Hyundai Sonata. Either way I’m new to Ford. I will be driving it and my wife is getting the Impreza.

2014 Wrangler Sport. My 4th Wrangler over the years including one with the death wobble that almost swore me off them. Time for something as capable but with a nicer ride and amenities.

I was waiting and waiting to see if the new Forester would have a stronger engine for over a year, they didn't and the Bronco Sport magically appeared at the right time, can't wait until my order comes in!

I have had both Chevys and Dodges...but I think I am at around 50 Fords in my 59 years of driving. We always seem to have 4 or 5 vehicles at a time.
