I took a chance and ordered this - I figured why not try it...the auto start/stop didn't bother me at all in my 2018 and my 2019 Escape...for some reason it DOES bother me on my 23 BS BL

So, it's pretty neat, just a male and female of the same wire connector on each end, unplug the OBDII connector under the dash, plug this into the back of the OBDII connector, and then plug the harness connector for the OBDII connector into this, and start the car - it will default to "off" as if you had pushed the button on the dash.

If you push the button again, reactivating auto start/stop, everything works as it would normally, auto start/stop is fully functional.

This remembers your previous setting as well, if you leave it activated or deactivated, it will remember whichever you chose the last time the car was running.

Pretty good solution, no error codes in any modules.

A nice feature but just pushing the button after start-up is automatic for me.

I use a small LED night night plugged into the AC socket. Works flawlessly on both my Ranger and BS BL. But I do appreciate the tip. Link to the 4D Tech)?

(As far as pushing the disable button...? I'm annoyed by it strictly out of principle.)

4D Tech and Auto Stop Eliminator have modules for the Bronco Sport. I purchased from Auto Stop Eliminator for my 23 BS BL. For my parents they didn't have one and I bought from 4D Tech for their 23 Expedition Limited. Both function the same in both vehicles. The BS BL module connects behind the "driver link connector" (the harness behind the OBDII port) in line, no splicing, no cutting wires, easy to install or remove in a couple minutes.

In terms of just pressing the button when I get in the car: It's annoying to have to do that on each engine start. I find the money worth the 3-5 seconds saved remembering to do that every time I start the vehicle.

In terms of using a night light to use an inverter: I don't like the idea of putting non-stop unnecessary stress on the 400W inverter in my BS BL or the inefficiency of running it nonstop. I don't even want to imagine what the replacement cost might be out of warranty either.

Auto Stop Eliminator for the Bronco Sport is here. Coupon FBGM is 10% off.

4D Tech version of it is here. I can't find any valid coupons for them at the moment.

Auto start stop won't engage while the inverter is on due to the power draw that would be placed on the battery without the alternator running.

Thanks for the links!

And it doesn't require a large load. Apparently any load will do. The night light I have uses 0.5 watts when on (see link, below).

Good point, but I can't imagine that stresses the inverter much (if at all). Nor do they get warm/hot. Just had to tape over the sensor. But I may just follow your lead as I get closer to the BL going out of B2B warranty.

I installed an auto stop eliminator on the F150 that I traded in on the Bronco. It went behind the dash, only took 15 minutes to install it. The 23 Bronco I have has a short wiring harness between the data link connector and the module. The data link connector is bolted under the dash but the module is not like it shows on the video but is instead wire tied up with the short wiring harness between it and the connector. It's going to take a bright light and nimble fingers to get the eliminator installed.

I installed mine in a parking lot - installation was more difficult than I anticipated. Unplugging the connector wasn't bad, but lining up the new connector to plug into the back of the datalink connector took some trying to get it all lined up.
