Hearing from a local authorized HRG installer that they now have a 3 inch spacer lift. Pretty interesting development. Sounds so enticing but worried about being too aggressive from a wear and tear perspective on the BB and 245/65/17 Falken AT3's? Obvious upsides are greater clearance and meaner looking (possibly) but I dont think we can still fit anything bigger than the 265/45's. Any other downsides/thoughts?

A higher lift will not enable larger tires. Doubling the lift does seem a bit dubious. Is it that much worse than a 1.5-2” lift? Hard to know.

Their web page for their new 2.5 inch kit still shows a MAX tire size of only 245/65/17 with the lift, and clearly states... FOR OFF-ROAD USE ONLY!

Ok.... I read that too. Maybe it's required in NC or a legal disclaimer to make it clear what the kit is for.
I'll reach out to Ben and ask what's up.

Every off-road item whether it’s lights or a lift. Say for off road use only. It’s a liability thing. Not a drivability thing. You guys way over think things on this forum

I think that was my point about legal disclaimer.
But there's always a few other people who get the correct information on the post as it goes
Thanks for the clarification.

I just got an email from Ben at HRG.
It confirms @RiotfunK post.

"We have to say that for legal reasons. There are certain areas where lift kits are illegal."

Now had anyone gone past the normal 1.5" lift?
I have the Beltech 1.5" kit installed.
I have not posted about it but will do after my Moab trip next May.
