Anyone else notice the "new car smell" significantly stronger and different than normal? I imagine leather & rubber floors are the source but wow, it has not dissipated at all. I went for a 10 minute drive today and come home my clothes reek.

I don't want to just cover up the smell, so it seems park it outside, windows down on hot sunny days to speed up off gassing is only solution. If anyone has had a similar situation or solution would appreciate

FWIW - Bought new, had it about 5 months, always garaged, only 700 miles on the OD.

I haven't noticed, but it does seem like it most likely is the rubber flooring, but I would have thought that carpet was even worse. A few hot days in the sun might help as you said. Also, maybe some of the activated charcoal based scent adsorbers (yes adsorb with a d). The chemicals in the aid bond with the charcoal. They leave a neutral scent as they don't add anything. Maybe a bag or two of these in your car to reduce the smell as you're driving. I'd stick one near the air intake if you use recirculate so the air gets cleaned as it goes back through the heater/AC.

No issues here at 6months. I avoid the inside car washes for that reason ... some of those cleaners are pretty awful.

My 2015 Mustang GT has 9000mi on the OD and it still smells new when I open the door. (Personally I love it.) Our Bronco Sport still smells new as well but it only has 3000mi on it. Neither of them are overly strong and after a few minutes in the either you don't notice it.

This has been my experience, as well. Love the "new car" smell and wish it would last longer... I'm at just under 3K miles, and 6 months of ownership. Yeah, don't drive a lot. :D

I saw someone’s Facebook post…

“I’ve had my 2025 bronco since September and only put 700 miles on it”

…so why buy a new vehicle at that point… I couldn’t grasp that concept.

No, then the three doctor and two physical therapy appointments a week start. Ask me how I know...

Retirement is a bit down the road for me. I am at 32 years of service; however, my wife said that I will be working until the Bronco is paid off. So I guess I have some years ahead of me.

I hear that, brother... we're not to that point yet, but at 73 and 67, I know that it's not that far off. :D
