I just purchased a used 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage with 7,500 miles on it from a BMW/Jaguar dealer. Why the guy traded down to a BMW or Jag is beyond me. The tire specs call for 225/65R17 but it has 245/65R17 on it. I found the paperwork in the glove box where they were changed at 800 miles. They look great but is it ok to go up 2 sizes like that?

How much will the 245 offset the speedo ??
Negligible. If I use Waze it shows maybe 2mph, but I’ve also driven by speed signs and in speed zones where the signs tell me exactly what the car says. It’s not enough to matter IMO.

Any online tire size calculator will tell you.

I'm more concerned about the added weight of bigger tires affecting mileage and performance, especially the 1.5L.
I can say since I added 245’s, nudge bar and tow hitch I’m lucky to get 26-27 mpg. Still not complaining but completely stock I was getting around 30 mpg.

That is my experience with AT3's in the same size. Cruise on 75, WAZE reads 77.

My only concern is... How all the computer systems on my fully loaded Badlands will react to a change in the number of tire rotation when an emergency stop is implemented utilizing the semi autonomous emergency stopping system. Larger tire height would equal less tire rotations per a given distance. I'm sure the adaptive cruise control
system will be off as well. Foward facing radar calculating a specific distance between two points based apond an accurate speed to keep you a safe distance apart. This why a Hellcat from the factory with a tire rated with a "Z" speed rating of 186 MPH will allow the speed limiter on the car to reach that speed and then shut the fuel down @ any speed above 186 MPH. (Top speed with no speed limiter is about 203 MPH) Go ahead, ask me how I know lol.
2 or 3 MPH Will Make A Difference on any new autonomous or semi autonomous vehicles computer systems. My BS is a daily driver here in NM at highway speeds @ 75 to 95 MPH. So please just be aware.

Even with a taller tire, the adaptive cruise control still keeps you too far behind the car in front. It is basically useless in all situations that are not remote.

Congratulations on the new Bronco Sport!

I know you've received some answers to the tire issue but I think we'd need to see some pics to make sure everything looks good. 😁
