On July 31, I ordered a Bronco Sport Badlands at ORO Ford in Oracle, Arizona.
The color is Desert Sand (also known as Terrain)

96Q Premium package
53B Class II trailer hitch
64V 17” gray 10 hole wheels

I did not order:

47C Co-Pilot360 Assist+
17B Power Moonroof
90A Cargo Management System

On August 24, I received an email from FORD stating:
We will begin building your 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands® the week of October 16, 2023

And I have a VIN

Congrats, friend! I can't wait to see photos of your Desert Sand. I've been a proponent of Ford adding a nice tan to the Sport color lineup for some time. I bet it'll look amazing.

P.S. Your build week date is my birthday, so yours will definitely be a lucky Badlands. 🙂

I've never had a moonroof and never cared about them. I bought my 21 BB used and didn't even know it had it until I did the final walk through before I bought it! But I will have to say I love the darn thing!! I car camp a lot and between that and the back window that opens I do a lot of star gazing. I'm not sorry it's there!

Looks like a great build and you'll have one of the first BSs built in 24 MY.

I've had 3 Ford vehicles with moonroofs and 3 Ford vehicles with severe moonroof issues. My experience has been awful and I won't have another. I ordered my 2019 F-350 specifically to not get a moonroof and did the same with our 23 BS BL. If the option were free, I'd pass. If the option included a $500 order credit just to take a moonroof, I'd pass. Way, way too many threads on the Ford truck forums about faulty moonroofs, broken motors, lubricant issues, etc. No thanks.

My wife's Subaru has a great moonroof ... that never gets used. In the winter, it's too cold to have an exposed glass top, so the shade is drawn. In the summer, it's too hot to have exposed glass, so the shade is drawn. It just never gets used. With that said, I appreciate that others really like them and others don't have issues with them.

We live out in BFE Iowa, so my wife wanted navigation because cell phone coverage out here is like 1995 United States. Yes, you can get by downloading Google Maps into your phone. But, that's way too complicated for my wife. So, we got the Co-Pilot+, but I'm not a huge fan of the lane keeping assist. I do really like adaptive cruise.

Super smart move getting the tow package. Just read a few threads here about people trying to add one after the fact. It's not a simple plug and play install.

I'm a huge fan of the wheel upgrade and it should have also pulled the true A/T tires, which are a must have.

The one thing I did add was the cargo management system. I did that because it can't be added later ... due to the molding in the rear cargo area. Currently, the shelf sits in our garage, unused. So, I probably could have saved the $130.

I'm with you on the sun roofs. The one on the Lexus has probably had the shade or window open less than 10 times in 10 years. Same for my wife's HRV. But, I love the CMS until I need to haul something big but more often than not, it is a great addition for little money up front.

Hopefully, all goes smoothly. Just be warned, that isn't always the case. My BSBL got built and shipped only a week or two after it was supposed too. My full size is coming up on three years and is finally on a train to Omaha. It was scheduled for a April 4th build week. Was actually in production on July 18th and didn't move to built until August 14th. There have been people with BSBL's that have had significant delays as well. Although none as long as with the full size Bronco's.

In reality the cargo management system can be added after the factory build. Just not sure the cost to do so after the fact is worth it.($2000) I paid the $225 factory install. I like it and it serves me well.

The Original Poster has returned and added an avatar picture.
Thank you for the warm welcome to the group. Here are my thoughts on your thoughts:

Sunroof/Moonroof
I have lost track of how many cars my wife and I have owned in 50 years of driving. The majority had sunroofs and we never used them.

Tow hitch
I will not be pulling a trailer. The hitch gives me the option of a bike rack or a cargo rack

Wheel/Rim style
I just like the “retro” look of the 10 hole Carbonized Gray-painted and this selection includes Falken Wildpeak tires.

Delivery date
No rush for me, it will get here when it gets here.
