Well, I've made the jump. My 2017 F-150 with a gas-guzzling 5.0 has been traded in.

My needs have changed and having a loud truck isn't really something I need anymore. As fun as it was, I'm also kind of glad that I'm no longer a go-to for truck needs. Saves a ton on payments, I'm a fan of having a factory warranty, and it'll be a ton cheaper on gas.

Am I sad? Nah - I had a great time with the truck, and the trade-in value has certainly lessened the blow - hah.

Thoughts on next steps? What are practical must-dos that people are going for? So far I've wrapped the stock 17s in Wildpeak AT3Ws, and that's about it. Crossbars are on order, and winter is coming.

Welcome! I also, traded my 2017 2.7 eco boost F-150 for a Bronco Sport. A little sad to see it go but very happy with the decision. So far I’ve only did some vinyl overlays on the badging, added crossbars, all weather mats and my fly rod holder. Looking at the Falken AT3Ws as well. What size did you go for?

Awesome, enjoy! I loved my F150 when I had it (2007 that I sold in 2016) as they’re really great vehicles, but yeah it’s ok to have your needs change. Honestly I’m looking at the BS as just about the perfect personal vehicle to handle all seasons, I’m not even sure what more it might need for winter.

I went with the same as stock at 225/65R17. I don't really see a need to go any bigger, but we'll see what happens in the future.

I could see myself getting a small lift for the Sport and 245s just to clear a little more, but I'm divided at the same time. Keeping everything as-is with added accessories might be the way forward for me.

I traded my 2016 F150 Lariat 5.0 which I loved but like you my needs changed. I love my Bronco BB but I wish I could’ve gotten a Badlands But there were none around and they stopped taking orders then and my situation was time sensitive.

I'm almost in that exact situation. I could've got into a Badlands no problem, but there just wasn't any.

I'm giving this bad boy 3 years at least before I trade. Love it so far.

Keep looking at the local dealers. I've seen some pop up from cancelations by me. Sell the BB on Carvana for a profit and pull the trigger. Life is too short; enjoy it and get what you want if you can ????

Totally feelin ya, Justin—I’m coming from an ‘07 F-150, w/3 Rangers(‘68 F-100 “Ranger” XLT Trim?, ‘96 “Styleside”, & an ‘02 “Edge”) before that, so all I’ve ever known in my 26 yrs of legally driving is a Ford pickup. I snorted laughing @ your comment re: no longer being the go-to guy for truck needs! Wish I had a buck for every time I got suckered into moving somebody, ya know? Really enjoying the bedless life so far, myself.??✌?

I've had the thrill of already telling 3 people I don't own a truck anymore. It's wild how much I used my truck for others - but I always did it because I wanted to, at the very least.

Today was the first big snow dump here, and aside from slamming down half throttle from a full stop, I didn't lose traction once with the combo of AWD and the AT3W tire.

Loving the fact that I can set a timer for the remote start and not worry every morning. So far I haven't really found anything to complain about for the price.

Marty do you find you will need front only , because of the kick up of mud and rocks onto the bottom plastic runner .

I also traded my 02 F 150 SuperCrew in for this BigBend also, it’s a Fun little SUV without a doubt.
Our needs also changed, our 3 boys grew up an they all have there own vehicles, so we didn’t need the SuperCrew anymore.

Honestly, with the amount of dirt already on the side, I was thinking about mudflaps earlier today. I need to secure my subwoofer and all first though - priorities! Hah.
