  1. CB radio install DIY video

I made a little video here on installing a CB radio in my Bronco Sport. Hopefully, some of you find this helpful.
  2. Out playing: off-road in Welland

Met up with a buddy of mine - he has a badlands, and me a lifted big bend with KO2s - for some fun off road and a bit of drone flying. Here is the result.
  3. YouTube channel

A friend and I have started a YouTube channel based on my bronco sport, gravel roads in southern Ontario, and things like that. It is in preparation for a long trip up to the Trans Taiga this summer where we will be doing some drone flying, camping, and exploring. here is the...
  4. Camping build

Slowly coming together. Needs sanding, painting, and a rubber mat up on top. As well, I am going to attach my cargo barrier to it so cargo cannot move into the passenger compartment.
  5. If I was redoing the GOAT modes

This is about the Big Bend et al not Badlands but some of it applies there as well. If I was redoing the goat modes, I would dispense with the dial all together and move the two (yes two, keep reading) “Goat” modes up onto the dash as buttons - slippery and sand mode (same with rock crawl and...
  6. Gross Vehicle Weight and Camping/Overlanding

I have been unable to find the Gross Vehicle Weight of the Bronco Sport anyplace. Ford isn’t telling… This matters as each vehicle is specified for a maximum weight allowance for it to carry. That weight includes the vehicle itself and all options, tires, and any addons. It also includes...
  7. Finally got out camping!

It isn’t so much about the truck, but we finally got out camping! Both dogs fit, all our crap fit, it was comfortable, and we are having a hoot in the rain. This trip was more about testing loading and new camping gear than anything. Our organizational paradigm stinks! Wish to have: - Dual...
  8. Carwow does bronco

  12. Had some fun today bad roading.

Found a few no maintenance roads which degenerated into dirt tracks and mud. Good for a giggle ? Was fun ?
  13. I just noticed… Prius has more recovery points

…that the new Prius we are picking up tonight has more recovery points on the front than our Bronco Sport Big Bend. That folks, is hilarious.
  14. The ultimate camping rig?

Not sure where to stick this so I will stick this here. I think I have come up with the ultimate camping rig for my purposes. Start with a Ford Bronco Badlands two door pickup Sasquatch package. They don't make it, so I may have to wait a while. Toss the pickup bed into the bin. Replace said...
  15. Oh the humanity!

Lot's of complaining I see here about the build quality of these things. Remember folks, it is a Ford... I point this out not as a complaint or as something I am shocked about because honestly I am not. It is what I expected. It is a bit pathetic that I can get into base Mercedes and BMW sedans...
  16. Eibach/ETC lift with springs

A person on the Facebook group I am in has posted pictures of his BS with springs installed. No spacers. He is testing them for Eibach and they have told him that they should be ready to sell by years end. I swiped a couple of his pictures to show you. Patience is a good thing.
  17. Service intervals

According to the app, the service interval for the 1.5l was going to push about 12k km or so, give or take a bit, the way I am driving. I spoke with one of the local Ford dealers, and their suggestion is to do the services every 8000 km instead to ensure that things work at their best. Finding...
  18. Gave it the beans!

Finally had a reason to give it the beans. Nothing happens when you give it the beans from a stand still. It sort of says huh? And moves. However, the jump from 60 to 100 (I will leave it to you to determine units) went almost briskly! Not sure what my point was, but beans were given.
  19. lift kits, larger tyres, and speedometer accuracy

Am I correct that should I lift my badlands and (after my current AT tyres wear out) put bigger tyres on, that I could go into the OBD port and tell the vehicle the new tyre size? There doesn't seem to be a way to do it through the menu selection like there was in my VW (it had a summer tyre vs...
