I noticed this with our Bronco sport, when we start the car, the led ring in the tail light is always on! I appreciate this feature and wish I could configure my escape to do this too but so far cannot. But here is why in Canada...

Parked in the same lot as us but couldn't get beside it for a "family portrait" lol. Was a Big Bend. Much bigger than I anticipated! And she was a beaut! Though love our Baby Bronc better
