    Yakima Offgrid basket installed

The OEM ones from Ford are probably the only ones that sit flush to the roof rails, unless you were to buy some other ones and chop them yourself. HungLo's pictures are the OEM crossbars.

    Yakima Offgrid basket installed

Yes. The cross bars are what a roof rack sits on/clamps to.

    Yakima Offgrid basket installed

    1. Yes. Any basket can fit if your cross bars are long enough. Looks like the large is 9 inches wider than the medium so if you look at my pics with the medium, add 4.5" to each side. 2. Again, depends on the size of the cross bars and what is already mounted. If you have a 49" wide offgrid...

    Yakima Offgrid basket installed

Surprised there wasn't already a thread for this. The medium size Yakima offgrid basket is also sold by Ford, so you can apply your Fordpass points to it, which is what I did. Paid I think $212. It's fairly small, so I may add the extension to it which makes it 18" longer. For now I'm just...

    Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

You would definitely want to take them off to put in the gasket. They're super easy to take on and off though.

    Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

Oh wow - I hope it makes a difference. That's exactly why I won't have my dealer install any accessory. I just don't trust them with that kind of stuff. Although, if something goes wrong you can take it back to them so there's that. I moved and readjusted my towers several times and didn't wait...

    Anyone pulling camper?

You're really limited with campers, and I agree with whoever set forget it if you're looking for a bathroom. There are PLENTY of teardrop/squaredrop options out there the sports can haul (and plenty they cannot). Many of these are hand built, and built to order and there are 12 month waiting...

    Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

Oh! You commented about noise and looking at your closer-up picture it looks like you do NOT have the rubber gasket running the seam on the underside of the crossbar? Can't quite tell. You want that in there - or so eTrailer said in their video - otherwise it creates excessive noise.

    Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

I went with the small size (50") as I didn't think I wanted overhang. I fear I'd smack my head on them often otherwise haha. I don't have my basket yet and haven't hauled anything so it may turn out I want larger. More overhang seems most useful for things like the road showers and awnings...

    Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

FWIW, those are jetstream crossbars, there are no timberline bars - that refers to the towers. Timberline towers use the strap to attach to raised side rails (which our sports have). This is what I recently put on mine and oddly enough I don't notice any extra noise if the moon roof is closed...

    Ship to delivery date?

Was a 7 month wait for me, but shipment took 19 days to NH seacoast once it was built.

Nice. What a huge weight drop. Well those will be a heck of a lot easier to portage if you have to! Enjoy!

    Factory (Yakima) Crossbar installed

Yeah I didn't bother going with the oem bars either. Was a tossup between jetstream and the chunkier HD bars. The potential issue isn't how strong cross bars are or what they can hold, it's what the vehicle's roof can hold while it is in motion. Two different things. Doesn't matter if your...

    Factory (Yakima) Crossbar installed

I have timberline towers and jetstream bars on order. As for the 100lb limit - that's the limit that can be supported while in motion. Stationary, the bars can support 600+ lbs. 100 is likely conservative because you never know what people are going to throw on their roof. But at highway...

White roof wrap.. what do you think about it?

Looks hideous to me. Would be slightly less so if they did *just* the roof and not pillars. To each their own!
