Bronco Sport production to be paused due to supply shortages

Pretty crazy but impacting every brand. My local vw dealer calls almost daily asking to buy my other car. Was curious about the market and plugged the info into carvana and vroom and both offered more than I paid 12 months ago, vroom was within a grand of msrp. I have a feeling we could flip our...

Bronco Sport 2.0L gets ECU flash tune by Vivid Racing ["VR Tuned ECU Flash"]

I definitely have fun at the track, but I go maybe 3 or 4 times a year max so almost all of my driving is on the street. Even if I never went I’d have the same setup. glad the explanation made sense.

Bronco Sport 2.0L gets ECU flash tune by Vivid Racing ["VR Tuned ECU Flash"]

For daily driving the benefit is more power under the curve. For the most part, top speed or peak horsepower is the wrong way to think about tuning a daily driver, even though they're the numbers everyone talks about. I haven't looked at the graphs for the bronco sport since I won't be tuning it...

Bronco Sport production to be paused due to supply shortages

The issue goes beyond what type of chip manufacturers are producing and its extended beyond just automakers. The whole supply chain is f*d at the moment right down to lack of raw materials needed to produce chips of any kind. Try and go buy a new PS5 or Xbox.

    Strange Auto Stop/Start Behavior

I get not wanting to power it from the battery with the engine off, I just find it curious moving the wheel doesn't kick the engine back on in anticipation of movement like every other start stop system I've driven (VW, Audi, Mercedes, Toyota, Range Rover) Its annoying af if you do a lot of city...

    Strange Auto Stop/Start Behavior

You've never turned the steering wheel in a car that was stationary at a light or stop sign? The car should start up on steering input. Was stopped at a light and needed to get around the vehicle in front of me that threw his hazards on. Wanted to have the wheel cut to the right so I could go...

    Strange Auto Stop/Start Behavior

This is the first Ford I've owned or driven with this "feature" so maybe its normal but is the system really set up to kill power steering and not start back up with a steering input? If I try to turn the wheel before letting off the brake or hitting the gas at a light or stop sign the steering...

Bronco Sport 2.0L gets ECU flash tune by Vivid Racing ["VR Tuned ECU Flash"]

Voiding the warranty is the wrong way to look at it. You still have your warranty, they just have the ability to deny your claims. Any tune is going to give Ford the opportunity to deny most powertrain claims. Vw/Audi flags tuned cars with a code in the system (TD1). Assuming for does the same...

Rear Wiper not clearing full back window

totally. Wasn’t implying this was an alternative to getting it fixed.

Rear Wiper not clearing full back window

Haven’t tested ours since the blade came bent from the dealer and needs to be replaced. That said applying rainx (or pick your other brand equivalent) to the rear window helps a ton with keeping the rear window clear and reducing the need to use the wiper.

Removing Ford emblem on rear lift gate - adhesive or guide pins?

jeez. That include powder coating the wheels black? I saw that as a dealer installed option on a lot of cars. My local dealer has black wheels on every sport they have, probably to add a little profit back into the car. Never checked to see what it included outside the wheels.

Bronco Sport Badlands dies crossing 20" of Water

I won't be off-roading so not an issue for me. That said, you can tow it, or pull it, to the nearest road and then call AAA. Won't work in every scenario obviously. I know people who've had breakdowns at track events and done the same thing, get it just outside the facility then get AAA on the line.

Thanks for the reminder I need to turn AAA back on.

Any ideas on back bumper protection?

Does your car have the backup sensors? Report back if it interferes if you do.

Official CACTUS GRAY Bronco Sport Thread

Need to get some better pics (and apparently some fatter tires, c'mon Ford). Compliments the black vw nicely.

Penn State! Condolences on living in Ohio.

Any ideas on back bumper protection?

Used to live in NYC. Its kinda the cost of street parking a car there. At least the bumper's on these aren't painted so scratches wont be as obvious, and you can replace it without having to pay a body shop. I'd just budget getting a new one every couple of years if I still lived there. Best bet...

Removing Ford emblem on rear lift gate - adhesive or guide pins?

Personally, I just dislike chrome in any amount. I've blacked out the emblems of every car I've ever owned, with the exception of one Honda right after college that got red type-r badges because I had a phase.
