    Different seatbelt chime/beep?

Trying to find some more information about this strange thing that's happened a few times with my '22 OBX. Usually, the seatbelt/backup sensor chimes play through the radio speaker, but sometimes, they sound tinny and as if they're coming from behind the gear cluster. The only evidence I've...

Lack of "stop points" on 2022 gear shift dial...is this true?

See post #82 in this thread: https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/switching-temperature-control-knobs-in-my22-to-my21.4875/page-6 The part numbers are there, but they’ve been officially discontinued by Ford. You can no longer walk into a dealership parts department and order temp...

Lack of "stop points" on 2022 gear shift dial...is this true?

Alright, I thought I replied on this thread already, but maybe not. I’m the original poster, I thought this would be an issue before I got the car. I’ve had it for four months now, and I can confidently say it’s not an issue. Despite the fact that you can scroll past park or drive on the dial...

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

HUGE UPDATE: Everything is working now!!! Heated seats/wheel, Auto Engine Idle, Parking Brake and Auto Hold are all working normally. The answer? The darn thing wasn't programmed, most likely since I bought mine from the factory and @jayzala's was used. I figured that out by using As-Built...

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

So what's interesting is, according to the OBD reader I just bought, all my errors have to do with parts I had to disassemble to get to the temp controls. This is what I have: ===APIM DTC B1087:01-08=== Code: B1087 - LIN Bus 'A' Additional Fault Symptom: - General Electrical Failure Status: -...

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

I might have a module with light up controls to sell you if you wanna give it a shot 😉 😂

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

That seems to check out, yours was built much earlier than mine (July, 2022). On the cup holder replacement thread, it was said that cars built later don’t have the wiring. So if that much is different about them, perhaps they’re also incompatible with older hardware like the ’21 temp controls.

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

I made that post, and yes, mine does 😁 Could be a defective part, or it could be that something actually changed on the production line. @Jayzala’s car also had the wiring for the illuminated cup holders, which I believe mine did not (I didn’t see any extra wiring).

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

Theoretically, is it possible that an incompatible temp module would throw off unrelated functions like the park brake or auto engine idle off? Or is it more likely I failed to re-connect the connectors properly?

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

Yeah, you’re probably right. I didn’t realize it before, but my parking brake and auto-hold functions don’t work either. And I did do the software update, it didn’t change anything. Weird that @jayzala ‘s conversion worked, since we have the same car (‘22 Outer Banks). Wonder what the issue...

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

Did the swap last night. The good news is I got everything together in one piece, and the temperature knobs work! The bad news is, something somewhere got screwed up. My heated seats & steering wheel buttons don't work anymore, and I can't choose those options in the remote start menu...

    2023 Climate Controls

Cost me around $350, but the part is officially "replaced" so you won't be able to special order one from a dealership anymore. Your best bet is finding someone selling it secondhand or by pure luck finding a dealership that still has one physically on hand (like I did). Check out my post here...

    2023 Climate Controls

You're right, the knobs don't have screens on the 22's or the 23's. Here's a pic of the two parts side by side, you can see there's no physical screen on the 22 version. My car is an outer banks, I'm going to replace the one currently installed with the one shown in my hand.

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

Hey @jayzala I know it's been a while, but was wondering if you had any tips and tricks besides just following the video? Kinda weird he puts the car back together in a different order than the way he took it apart

    Best options for selling parts?

Just bought the folding headrests, plus the climate controls with the screens for my 2022 bronco sport. Now I have the original (basically brand new) parts that my car came with, and I’m looking to sell them. Other than eBay, does anyone have advice/recommendations for selling brand new parts...

Here I was clicking on the ad thinking it somehow had to do with the lettering 😆

    2023 Climate Controls

The temp is always displayed except when using Android auto or Carplay. Of course, you'll still see it as a popup when you jiggle the knob, but you'll miss out on the at-a-glance view. If you really want it, and you can manage to get the part, I can at least confirm that the 2022's are...

Switching Temperature Control Knobs in MY22 to MY21

Got a very exciting package today, will follow up with pics from the install process! If you’re trying to do the same thing I am, make sure your part number ends in A through D, not E through H. From what I can tell, they’re the same part, just the earlier letters have the screens, the later...

Are there any improvements on the 22's vs the 21's, or just downgrades?

So I've gotten my 2022 Outer Banks, loving it so far. Mine even came with the trunk button! Going to be ordering the folding headrests and temperature control dials with the screens. Other than that my only real complaint is that the gear shift dial feels kinda plasticky compared to the 21...

    July 2022 Waiting Room

Checking in with you guys. Hope you all get your cars soon! I’m going to post a detailed rail tracking guide for those that aren’t already aware of the steps hopefully tomorrow. Question for those who have gotten their cars…do yours have a trunk button? This was a feature that was...
