For the 4Runner there is a patch style antenna available aftermarket that sits almost flat to the roof. Reception might suffer but no clearance issues.
The BS will need more than a platform for the head, the folded rear seat backs don't go flat & level enough to sleep on. The 4Runner has a similar issue and aftermarket companies make a sleeping platform for the rear that replaces one or both of the rear seats, https://www.goose-gear.com/...

The best tool I've found for comparing dimensions is https://www.edmunds.com/car-comparisons/. Add the 2021 BS, then add the Escape of your choice, I used my 2007, then you can directly compare specs and size.
