I got lucky in high school in the 60's and got a job at a car garage. I've been doing all work on all my vehicles since then - saved me untold thousands. When my son was in high school - we pulled the engine out of our 86 Dodge Caravan and totally rebuilt it so he could get some experience. He's...
I'm not 100% sure about all the clicking. It sounds like relays which are switches turned on and off by an electric coil magnet. I've heard that the whining noise is fans on the LED headlights. I know on my badlands the fans come on even if the headlights were not on previous to them...
Wow - I was going to ask about all the relay clicking I hear a lot of while my BS is parked. It's hard to believe Ford has that much crap running in background. It seems all they need is the key fob receiver running and maybe one other thing - but nothing clicking. I'm an engineer - and that...
Interesting - The 6:55 was while waiting for valet to park our car (anniversary dinner). While we sitting there I told my wife that I think this vehicle has a switch for this - to hold car with brake while waiting. I pressed it about that time and released it shortly afterward (seconds). The...
The first pic date/time match when I was driving and got a message on the display to have vehicle serviced - never a check engine light at all. I wonder exactly what triggers a display message vs. a check engine light?
Saw this error a couple days ago - anyone else seen this? New 2025 Badlands. No check engine light - got an actual message on display to get vehicle serviced (don't member exact wording). This is screenshot using Forscan where I could pull details. I actually have multiple codes - see second...
For your new bolts - make sure you stay with the same grade bolts. I know Tractor Supply has grade 2, 5 and grade 8. Not sure about metric though. You should torque those to factory specs too as the bolts are in a shear mounting (i think - can't tell for sure).
Glad you posted this as it answers a different question I had - Are the wires there? I know they are shown on the 2025 BS wiring diagrams. Apparently the answer is 'yes ' as the lights on it seem to work and the dealer actually connected it. It most likely has the wires included so various...
Interesting - I have 1 2003 Explorer Sport (2 door) and have never replaced any coolant, hose, or pump in the entire system. You'd think that a 'wear' item would fail inside of 23 years
Ah, I'm with you now. I did not consider that I was actually looking at the BCM. The fact it had all those fuses derailed me. I always thought of a 'module' as a circuit board (enclosed or not) performing a function of set of functions and the power distribution/fusing was off and separate...
That's some useful info I'll print and file away at a minimum. There's nothing similar for the inside fuse box - fuses and connectors?
Thanks
Tom
So am I looking in the same place as your images? Mine is 2025 BS Badlands if that has any difference. I'm seeing 2 giant connectors and a bunch...
I'm getting setup to install a dash cam in my 2025 BS Badlands. I removed the passenger foot area fuse box cover and tested all the fuse connections in there with a test light
I found the following fuses have power all the time
4, 5, 7, 10, 11,12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25
I found...
