Always thought that would be a great combo. It gets my giant cargo van moving pretty quick and with a good sound. I don't mind letting the needle tickle the 6,800 RPM redline.
I guess it’s a 3.5 now. The NA 3.7 I have in my Transit is a great motor. Smooth power, reliable and there are many that have gone 300-400k miles without issue.
I test drove a Bronco with the manual transmission and it was so satisfying to row a gearshift again. That truck with Ford's 3.7 would be a dream. I'll get an EV before another turbo engine.
Yeah I'm 6'3" and my son is gaining on me quickly. Pretty soon my wife will be in the back seat instead, she might have the wandering eye at that point too.
Oh yea, I know all about depreciated German cars...I had an old Audi Allroad that my dad handed down when we needed a family car. It was one failed sensor after another, then the air suspension, then the fuel pump and a $750 tow bill after it stalled on my wife and kids in the middle of a busy...
There is no rational reason to replace my '21 BS BL. It's paid for, functional, reliable, fast, great in the snow, low mileage. My wife loves the quasi-self-driving feature.
I wish it was bigger, mostly for the sake of my growing teenagers in the back seat. A smoother, more refined ride would...
I suspect the front brake calipers in my case. The pop happens upon releasing the brake, and when braking lightly over a rough road or rumble strip it rattles loudly along with the bumps. Knowing the poor tolerances on the rear caliper bushings (reverse moan sound), I'm guessing the caliper...
I was thinking about changing my RDU fluid this weekend at 59,000 miles...but seeing yours fail after 20 miles is pretty scary. I think I'll leave it alone, maybe pay a shop to do it so I have warranty recourse.
Anything over 48 months is pretty crazy. Even if you can afford it, writing that check every month just sucks, and doing it for 5-6 years on a car you are underwater on..no thank you.
The number of people behind on their car payments is rising due to longer terms and higher interest rates...
I have about 15,000 miles on these tires now and they also haven't worn as evenly as the AT3W. Not nearly as bad as the Discoverer AT3's I've had on other trucks, but they have gotten much noisier over time.
I must be old because I have realized that the tires I want are not the most...
Hold on to one end of a table knife so it is horizontal. The knife represents your suspension's lower control arm. With your other hand, push down on the center of the knife with one finger until it moves 1". Your finger is the coil spring. The free end of the knife moved more than 1" didn't it?
Pretty easy to see why that came apart... it work hardened that sheet metal and snapped off like the tab on a beer can. With your fix secured at both ends of the bolt it should be way stronger. Seems like it could have easily been built that way from the beginning. Must have been a real b-word...
For an agressive tire the Wildpeaks are the quietest I have used. The OE AT3W were quieter than the AT4W that I replaced them with. Most importantly, they wear evenly as opposed to the BFG and Coopers I have run in the past, once they start getting that sawtooth pattern in the tread they get...
I had a good experience with Walnut Creek Ford. My Badlands was pre ordered and when other dealers were marking them up, they sold it to me for MSRP with $500 mfg cash back. Then they gave me 0% financing without asking. Different times in 2021 for sure, but I'd go back to them again. Their...
I got a non-Ford windshield put on my Transit, figured "how different could it be?" and looking from an angle it has more waves than the Atlantic. Insisted on the Ford glass when my BS windshield got smacked by a rock.
The Ford laminated side glass is incredible stuff, some junkie hit it 5-6...
