  1. FARLEY

I don't like EVs. They exist to game the system. And the system is designed to be taken advantage of. They expect fleet wide average to be like 40 mpg. Well that's how we will have one Shelby GT500 and five 8000lb EVs. Late stage capitalism, y'all.

This country is getting less argrarian and yet ...
  3. FARLEY

I understand where he is coming from. He was hired to make money for Ford. Which means selling pick-up trucks that hardly anyone actually needs. But he is also a car enthusiast who realizes bigger is not always better. Market research probably showed that no one will buy an EV with 120 mile...
  4. Yet more evidence of cooling EV sales

They see the writing on the wall. EVs are the latest attempt in securing a future for their business. So they'll lobby the governments and blow billions on marketing. Just to keep everyone trapped in the past with car dependency and wasted resources.
  5. Is the end nigh for Ford's EVs?

They are not. But our tax dollars shouldn't be used to incentivize cars anyways. EV or not. Oh well.
  6. Is the end nigh for Ford's EVs?

We had a Chinese built EV on sale for a couple years now. Polestar (Volvo ((Geely)) is made in China and doesnt qualify for the tax break. China makes more cars than all other other countries combined and locally they have 30% market share for EVs. It's silly to assume they don't know what they...
  7. Ford recalls cars with 1.0L engine.

You can't make something so reliable that it affects new sales, you can't be so unreliable that affects reputation. ?
  8. Nissan working on reducing headlight glare.

That's weird but orange/yellow lights are safer because it doesn't mess with your night vision adaptation as much. Cop cars have red interior lights just like submarines. Rally cars have yellow tints on their headlights for night stages. It takes 10 minutes for optimal night vision and stuff...
  9. Nissan working on reducing headlight glare.

Maybe 20 years ago. Now it's guydudebros in their lifted trucks with stadium lights on their football sized grill 10 feet behind the back of my head. Bright headlights is becoming my obsession now that I find it almost painful to drive. That being said I dont know why making headlights not as...
  10. EV'S

I'm on the side that thinks we should have less cars. EVs are not a perfect solution to all the problems that cars have created over the past 100 years. Personally I would still prefer a small displacement gas engine in a light weight vehicle.
  11. Ford blinks on EV production.

100%. they don't want us using public transport and riding bicycles because they can't make record profits from us.
  12. Ford blinks on EV production.

Color me surprised. I guess the Venn diagram of luxury pick-up truck buyers and $50K EVs doesn't have much overlap.
  13. Show Us Your Bad Ass Other Ride!

It's a 2400HP EV. Seats 240. AC blows ice cold. Can hit 55MPH if asked.
  14. Show Us Your Bad Ass Other Ride!

Now that's a pick up truck that I actually like! Very nice.
  15. Yet another jelly bean turned into a box.

Apparently the coefficient of drag is 0.29. that's crazy for that shape. Does anyone know what the number for Bronco sport is? I feel like it's over 0.4
  16. This could have replaced the 4runner

Corporations just go where the money is. They don't really care about social justice or the environment. We are all cogs in a capitalist machine. But I'd rather have a diesel than an EV. At least you have biodiesel instead of lithium mining.
  17. California ban new gas car sales by 2035 [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

You can't push for EVs without pushing even harder to elimatate car dependency. This is not sustainable.
  18. Ford Bronco Celebrates Pride Month

I love it. That's why Ford is still cool.
  19. How come we haven't talked about gas prices? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

Gas is still very cheap in US. People are only upset because they have to drive. Blame the 70 years of bad infrastructure and urban planning which spawned whole cities where you can't do basic shopping without driving. Furthermore, the car being an ultimate expression of freedom and...
