diminishing flow arc is the key
have been using rectangular dishwashing tub (dedicated for garage use)
set up length wise to collect waste oil
no need to compensate for flow decrease
funnel waste oil back into emptied oil container(s)
clean plastic tub and funnel for next use
return used oil to...
takes time to remove panels under motor for oil change
doesn't want the hassle of removing drain plug
something seems off with the reasoning
but wait
there's more
threaded portion of oil release valve may leave a layer of waste oil behind
exactly where the sludge would reside
*endorses full plug...
had good results with all three products mentioned
seafoam seemed to have the added benefit of deposits removal
engines always "felt" to run smoother after the seafoam treatments
on the battery issue
just letting the charge go to zero is not gonna help the battery life
suggest to remove battery...
this is the lug used in the grounding application
battery maintainer and antenna utilize the lug
additional note: the frame mounted ground post has a raised lip (see pic)
this lip puts the lug at a slightly less than perfect fit
a small amount work with the dremel tool removed enough lug...
gotta admit the guy has determination
pouring rain
best part of the vid
7 minute mark
we've all done it
second best part
happens again 30 seconds later
now
about that rattle I keep hearing
all valid points to take into consideration
however, the measure of time to performance is rather short
no real track record to assay functional benefit other than fuel consumption
it may, just as you say be a non-issue
the flip side of that would be the non-use equals no additional wear and...
"The only components on the car affected by the auto start/stop system are the starter, battery, and charging system. "
I'd also toss in where the starter motor engages the flywheel for wear and tear.
what I had in mind was the number of cycles a battery can expect to provide
how might this...

auto/ stop-start feature
might not be enough for the full cycle charge to be an issue
but there may possibly be an effect on the number of cycles
made it a habit to select "off" mode
found what I was looking for

yeah I'll have to refresh my memory on this one
something about which side of the shunt the ground wire is connected
between battery and shunt or on opposite side of shunt
I went with the frame grounding lug
which if I recall is straight connect to neg battery post circumventing shunt
https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/disabled-auto-start-stop-with-forscan.3733/page-3#post-65942
I don't think this was the thread
but has some of the same concerns
pic related
something about interfering with the shunted connection
may have consequences
safer to avoid that shunting...
had wired mine the same
however somewhere in a previous thread
neg battery post not such a good connection
cannot recall why
shunt at battery post?????
anyways I relocated neg connection to frame ground
see lower right corner of your pick
working just as would be expected
