Hopefully better luck then last dealer who was obviously incompetent which is common with Ford service. But there are some Ford dealers with good service, some, key is to find that exception to the rule. Also Lincoln dealers will do warranty work on Fords so thats an option too.
I changed the RDU gear oil in mine recently as preventative maintenance. 23k miles no off roading. Oil was not low and looked clean and no noise to date. I did verify I have the '21 style vent tube that can be prone to letting dirt water in.
Hopefully you changed the gear oil in the RDU. I did mine recently, wasn't low or dirty at 23k miles, but good preventative maintenance given some have reported failures.
Saw a post over on Pilot forum brand new Pilot Elite has front suspension clunk. Dealer not able to resolve. Corporate Honda tells dealer find another Elite Pilot see if it clunks to see if its normal?? Dealer doesn't have that trim in stock. So customer is told sorry your mega dollar SUV...
You need to search around and find another dealer. Lincoln dealers do Ford warranty work too. The vast majority of Ford dealers terrible service and corporate Ford usually no help at all. But there are some, not many, that care and are competent.
And Ford does not care if everything you own...
I been lurking around on Honda Pilot forums and tons of ppl lemon lawing brand new Hondas. Given the Passports long in the tooth design I think your chances are better then Pilot. Hondas are far far far from inflatable vehicles. Buyer beware.
I thought we only had to worry about ECU lower front fender, nope. Can short out ECU and fill rear diff with water wow thats great!!! Deep water crossings here I come!!
My '16 F150 still has its original batteries, 30k miles, sits in garage a lot. My '21 Badlands sport has original battery and it sat in Mexico at plant for 6 months waiting for missing chip. So my guess I am on thin ice both vehicles.
'21 Badlands here. Mine needed Manual Park Release Cable too, heard brake moan a few times over the years, but its overall excellent so far. 22k miles on it now.
My experience majority of Ford dealers have absolute terrible service even before COVID. Most of them either don't care, are incompetent, or combination of the two. But there are some, not many, that have good service. My father in law had a local Lincoln dealer do warranty work on his...
I think its some sports have problems and large numbers of them are issue free. But majority of dealers have lousy service, not all, but most of them.
My neighbor has a fleet of Fords he knows of one dealer that has good service in my area. The other dozen or so dealers terrible service...
Yeah I think CAFE regulations is why its a Badlands only option. The lower 3 cyl trim sports are high volume so they help fords CAFE rating a lot. Ford doesn't want to sell a lot of 2.0 sports that was never their plan.
Ford might be more liberal with 2.0s in Escapes cause they are jelly...
Lemon bronco sports have existed since day one. And so have large numbers of well built trouble free sports. To reduce risk test drive and inspect closely before you buy. Read up on common problems. I have always thought its a buyer beware since day one. Don't just wonder into a dealer sign...
