You can definitely lock your fob in the vehicle. Set the fob on the back seat to retrieve something, then close and lock the doors. Don’t ask how I know.

I have read some people put it on the inside of the fuel filler door.
Just make sure it does not interfere with the cap-less fuel fill seal on the door, causing EVAP codes.
I think that was for a wired keypad, which apparently can be done with FORScan.
I have not read anywhere of anyone successfully programming the wireless stick on keypad using FORScan.

I have noticed a number of differences in the '25 wiring from '21-'24. I suspect the pigtail in the LHS door was deleted for '25, thus eliminating ability to install a '21-'24 b-pillar illuminated keypad.
