I wouldn't worry about anything that's quieter than a stock Elantra N.
Commie California? Soviet union banned lead gasoline early on but we didn't have emission testing or noise requirements there as far as I know. (No one I knew had a car lol) Cali is strict but it's still pretty lax compared...
I am not sure what happened with my '21 BB. I had the car in for a failed ignition coil. When I got it back I noticed they did the recall catheter thing and replaced a cylinder deactivation solenoid. The coil that was causing a misfire was changed too. Now, my avg MPG is up to 29 from 27. Doing...
My one and only time taking the car off road. I just thought I'd try it. It's not my cup of tea. I live in a city. But it was interesting to see if the car would allow you the break traction. Even with TC off it felt like it was holding your hand. If I can't live out my inner Colin McRae then...
Getting the most out of very little is a fun proposition. Akin to Doom on a TI calculator. People might say why don't you just play it on a computer like it's meant to be. They miss the point.
It's a turbo engine. Usually not the most long lasting. Are there any good examples of super reliable turbos that are not diesels?
That being said I'm not too worried about it being worn out prematurely.
The car always has a gear to choose to get the power out. Alas, at those speeds the brick shape of the thing increases the wind noise and decreases the fuel economy.
I don't have much experience with automatics but is this hesitation normal? Nothing happens for a good half second sometimes. Especially coming out of reverse. Is this a fly by wire thing or an auto trans thing? The BS has enough power but sometimes it refuses to give it to you.
That 3 cylinder really sings. Why axle back, though? Kinda wished for a full cat back. Borla is working for a cat back for the 4 cyl and axle back for three.
Same motor is in those cars and it makes 20 horse more in the Fiesta. Are there any differences in BS to make it stronger and/or long lasting? How many of the parts would be interchangeable?
This is my first car with automatic. I noticed going uphill and giving more gas doesn't increase the rpm. You really need to floor it for it to downshift. This vague relation between accelerator and engine is something to get used to. Not knowing what gear I'm in is annoying.
