Good that they "extended" the warranty but if it's an issue you've asked for service and they haven't been able to resolve...they will resolve it. Local dealer many years ago tried that crap with a ranger I had. Long story short Ford ensured it was fixed properly.

Personally...I'd say every vehicle I've ever driven has done this after a wash, hard rain, high humidity days. And after a couple stops, the noise is gone. I haven't noticed any inordinate squeals or issues. Sorry to hear a few are having issues.

I'd guess it MIGHT be...possibly, cheaper to go to a body shop and have them touch it up. If it's plastic and merely scratched not cracked or punched through, fix it. I assume you have a silver sport, easy color match due to the metal flake from work I've done.
