Yeah...hate to say it, a week from production is exceptionally fast and unlikely unless you live across from the Hermsoillo plant.
Figure they assemble, quality check, prep for shipment, arrange a rail carrier, transfer rails/truck, dealer delivery, dealer prep, pickup don't be shocked if it's...
Agreed. My guy called when my badlands hit the lot. Hid it in the crash lot and locked my keys in his desk when I couldn't take delivery that day. Went line by line with the MSRP sheet and my employee plan. Top shelf.
I like the central MSRP dealer model but...local has some perks if you have a...
I went to the local AutoZone, found a rear blade with the same snap connection, bought it a touch long and trimmed it, a little longer than OEM without any issues...in the event you can't find one.
congrats, yeah most who have one know the elation. I got the call to come pick mine up the day I was moving my son home for the summer from campus. I was there with bells on the next morning like a child at Christmas. It was GLORIOUS.
Honestly...September to December? Early orders would have been ecstatic for three months to build time. Some folks went 6-12 months waiting on sports. Some waiting on full broncos with day one reservations still don't have theirs. Yeah it sucks, the wait is worth it if the Bronco is what you need.
Spoke to a buddy at HQ. Said they are having continued chip and supply issues and it isn't getting much better any time soon. Supplier issues are a mess. Welcome to the fallout of 2020.
In their "defense" supply and supplier issues are still a mess. Who's fault? Best I could say is, either hang in there and get what you want, or blame Ford and go shop your options. Love my sport, my wife ended up with a jeep. Neither was easy to find...spoiler alert.
It does vary somewhat from dealer to dealer. The basics. See and covet a bronco sport. Read up on features colors and price point you desire. Search online or at a dealer near you for a stock sport which are like hens teeth in many areas.
Speak with a dealer preferably one you've worked with or...
I feel for any of you in "built waiting on transport"... This world is a mess, and pending railway strikes may be the straw that breaks many a camel's backs. Nothing Ford can do about it, there is no imminent fix in sight. It was bad enough when parts constraints were causing a week or two...
For those of you in panic, simply check with your dealer. when I ordered my '21 badlands I didn't receive an email from Ford ever. He assured me it was how they manage customer communication. My name wasn't on the order and they received all updates, said it saves their customer a lot of junk...
I got it...but, points are just fictitious "things"...I simply made a counter statement, my battery jump kit was free...and useful. So, if I went to the store and paid cash...it wasn't cheaper. It's just perspective. There weren't other useless to me things better than a jump kit with two kids...
I used my points for the jump start kit and the molle bags. So far so good. My son with an older car has used the jumper a few times. The bags I've used quite a bit. Those were practical things for me. Everyone is different.??‍♂️
