Damn, that is more than mine. I found this chip on the front of the hood. Not on the leading edge though. I don't recall getting hit by a stone or anything.. still disappointing to see one already.

Welcome. I can also say you can restart without the brake hold disengaging if you tap the gas lightly.

does she have the brake hold turned on? If you have brake hold turned on, it won't restart until you hit the gas because you are "braked" still

Came out of the grocery this morning, when I went to start her up, I tried to push down on the brake pedal as I hit the start button and the pedal did not want to go down. It went down maybe a quarter inch, it was enough to let me start, then it snapped. It was weird. Ran fine afterwards...
