What I find weird is, like today, the BS goes into sleep mode when not used for a while with the battery maintainer connected with the battery at full charge.
Eyelet on the positive side of battery and my ground is connected to the Red Line hood lift bracket. My BS sits a lot and I ran a wire connect with cap to the cowl area of the windshield. Easy, quick off and on connection.
I have used a Deltran Battery Tender Plus and have for over 20 years. I...
I bought a leftover '24 Badlands and I'm at 418 miles and 89%. At 2300, I'll probably be 77% or less.
The oil meter means nothing to me. I go with 5k or 1 year full synthetic oil changes.
Like the video, a couple of days ago, I changed the oil only at 355 miles and went with Motorcraft full synthetic. I did it from the top of the engine using an oil extractor. I could only get a bit over 4 quarts out. Added 4 qts of Motorcraft full synthetic. I ran the engine a few minutes and...
I'd go AGM next.
AGM batteries can resist damage from extreme temps and vibration. The absorbed mats give AGM batteries a sponge-like resistance to vibrations. A regular car battery's sensitive internal components can break apart if you shake it hard enough. Its lead plates are hanging from a...
I usually buy OEM air filters and cabin filters. I don't need one for the BS yet and usually buy from eBay. I recently purchased a Honda cabin filter for $21 for my wife's HR-V.
I liked it. No wrench is needed and no hot oil on your fingers or drain plug falling into the pan. The 6.7qt pan doesn't need a wrench. So if I was still doing my own oil changes, no need for the Fumoto valve.
I've used that drain plug on many vehicles before back in the day when I did my own oil changes.. It is nice to have as you don't have to take the drain plug off.
