Thank you again for this. I gave your notes to my service dept and it gave them a place to start. They were able to reproduce the lurching in the shop. They're replacing the whole transmission!

So...I don't have specifics of what was failing and causing the lurching, but they are replacing the whole transmission. Wow. I'll let you know the specifics when I have them.....

Not yet - spoke to service, they're aware of the issue and have heard of this issue. We're under a wind and fire situation here in LA. This will have to wait a few days....

Yes, I know many of those owners who have not had any issues. I love these cars but this will sadly have to be my last. I know the service dept way too well...by name. That's just not normal.

It's a process. if they buy it back, they'll pay you back for your payments and downpayment. They offer a crappy $1500 towards a new ford and you sign over the car. After that, do whatever you want. I was going to go Toyota also but because of my hassles a different Ford dealer offered me a sick...
