I had the same problem with our 25 BSBB when going up a long incline near our home. I solved the vibration problem by putting the vehicle in Sport mode and pressing the accelerator just before reaching the start of the hill. This increases the RPMs and the speed and I assume, this allows the...
Thanks for this message from our neighbor across Lake Erie !
Just to let you know, Canadians will send our neighbors to the south all the cold air and snow they want and FOR FREE !! And best of all they will be TARIFF FREE. !!
IMO , neighbors from these 2 great countries need to laugh...
I like your idea but I'm not sure my summer sun shield would survive the snow , freezing rain and wind of an Ontario winter !
On a related topic, you must have at least a brief "winter " in Arizona ? How else can you explain how your state could produce an exceptional hockey player like...
Agreed and in comparison to you lucky folks who live in Arizona, my 2025 Big Bend sat outside last night in - 5 C weather (with snow). After starting her up this morning , she high idled for about 45 seconds and then dropped down to 1000 rpm.
By the way, that large windshield wiper cavity...
Hi Garth, what year is your Badlands ? Was the block heater cord an option or standard equipment ? When in use, where is this cord located in the engine ?
Does anyone know what BS trim levels and years are involved in this recall ?
Many thanks
I ve had my BSBB for about 4 months and 3500 km now and you took the words out of my mouth ; handling, agility and responsiveness , especially on the highway! I use sport mode in the city for smooth acceleration.
No mechanical issues !
Cheers
Yes, that is a "yes" . The Ford dealer where I leased the BB wanted about $800 (Cdn) for a mini spare wheel and tire and the jacking hardware ! I politely declined !
So, as you say, it must be a trim level difference or Ford has decided BBs shipped to Canada don't deserve spare tires ...
My new 2025 BB came only with a tire inflator. Not sure if this helps but I found a used Ford aluminum wheel and a slightly used Yokohama Geolander (225/65 17) tire. This combo serves as my spare and it fits perfectly in the tire well when the rear floor is raised to its upper position. In my...
My first vehicle could be described as a unique British car that hated Canadian winters !
It was a 1970 Sunbeam Alpine ( not the 2 seater sports car and not the iconic Sunbeam Tiger V8 !). This was a 4 seat fastback with a distinct sloping roofline (see Google for pictures).
They were built...
Yes, I saw something similar earlier this week. I have a 2 month old 2025 BSBB with about 2200 km on the clock. One morning I started the vehicle and there were no numbers showing on the tach. I drove to a grocery store and parked for about 30 minutes. When I restarted, the tach numbers...
Thank you for this info, don't worry about a sketch, I now have a a good understanding of the function of ball plugs.
I appreciate your comment "ChatGTP does not always know truth ".
And here we thought that AI was going to be the answer to the world's problems ?!
Cheers
Hello, can someone explain what a "ball plug " is and can we assume that only a small number of BSs , built in a single day at the Mexican factory are affected ?
Cheers
Thank you Mark, as someone who learned how to drive in a '66 Chevelle, I am amazed by the technology/engineering in our new BSBB !
I am still working my way through the enormous Ford manual !
Cheers
Thank you David, I'm an older guy from the frozen north who is used to putting a vehicle into a Low gear and then trying to crawl up a snowy or icy hill in the winter months.
Going to have to start experimenting with the different drive modes on our new "Eruption Green" little rocket to take...
